A great local place for some of the most sophisticated comfort food you will find anywhere. Chef Matt creates his seasonal menus using locally sourced ingredients, and it shows in the quality of the food. Expect to find Appalachian inspired comfort foods with a modern twist. Every meal we've had here has been fantastic and I try to choose something new each time we go. I really need to make it a point to get there for brunch, I've heard it's out of this world.
My husband and I visited the Vagabond Kitchen prior to an event at WesBanco arena. Great area, easy to park and walk to both the restaurant and event venue. We happened to find them on a whim, called and easily reserved a table. Waited maybe 3 minutes when we arrived. The service was exceptional! Our waiter was so kind and took great care of us. Bizarre experience: we showed up, the diner was half-empty, and we were told that if we did not have reservations there was an hour wait.
