Finally, a steak worth paying for!
To date, there are only two steak houses East of the Mississippi that are worthy of my time and money, funny enough they’re both in WV, Prime 44 at The Greenbrier and The Char in Beckley, WV.

We come back to Prime 44 West every time we stay at the Greenbrier and it never disappoints. The steaks are superb and the prime rib is so very good and the horseradish sauce is really excellent. Having had the food here a few times I will say that the lobster mashed potatoes didn't really live up to the hype and while they were good, I am not sure I'd agree with 'the best thing I ever ate' status.
