We had high expectation going to Prime 44 West. However, we were left somewhat disappointed. The food at Prime 44 West was underwhelming. The portion was huge, but the taste of the food was somewhat disappointing all around. The best was perhaps the corn side dish. The steak was just okay. The lamb chop was normal. The dover fish has a lot of bones. The service was good. The decoration was consistent with the theme. The price was high for the quality of dishes they offered.
We were fortunate enough to dine here making reservations just the night before. We were so excited to have a great steak dinner. When we got there at our reservation time, we had to wait almost an hour due to the group before us. This was totally not their fault and made it right by comping us some appetizers and drinks. When we ordered our food however, the oysters Rockefeller was not fresh, completely inedible. The steaks themselves were decent but did not stand out. Overall...
Everything in this restaurant is incredible. I ate the best steak I've eaten in a year. People were very kind and there was a wine sommelier. Everything was themed around Jerry West. Great atmosphere in general.
