I went here back in 2021 met the owner, it's a bar, it's a restaurant, it's a liquor store it's a hotel if your looking for anything it's probably here!

It was clean, but the ac rattled all night and the toilet ran all night. It's got a lot of cool things about it but for the money there are better options for just a few dollars more.

Stayed here for business. The lady on duty was awesome!!! Not sure how she ran the Front Desk, Bar and Liquor Store by herself. But she did an awesome job. Very friendly, made me feel welcomed, and awesome attitude.
As far as the rooms. I do believe this lodge is haunted. As I kept hearing children running and laughing down the hall in the middle of the night. Yet. No other guest were staying there besides me and my coworkers. And they heard nothing.

Rooms: Well it is an older lodge and not a hotel. But it was clean. Bed was comfortable.
Directv in each room.

Walkability: Everything in this town is within walking distance of this lodge.

Food and drinks: Food was good. Drinks were amazing and very affordable. The lady on duty did an awesome job. My coworkers and I played Pool and Darts at the bar for about 5 hours. Had a great time.

One lady (she was really nice and helpful) is running everything here. Liquor store, bar, hotel, so the service is not really good thinking that she needs to be in 10 places in 1 time while the owners are counting the profits. The hotel needs to get renovated badly. No evelator, so be ready to go up and down 4 stories. The only good experience was the view, which is awesome

One bartender was a bit coarse gritty and distasteful, but overall, we had a good time and and enjoyed the experience enough to be willing to go back.

The Lodge itself is very clean while maintaining its vintage decor and very cozy. The prime rib I just ate at Trapper’s Steakhouse on the main level will fuel my fantasies until I can eat it again!Safety: It’s Wyoming - just don’t have California plates ?Walkability: Afton and its local shops are across the street.Food & drinks: It has a restaurant and full bar in the hotel. A perfect couples weekend!

So yes the hotel is really old but our room was a suite and it was beautiful. Loved the bathroom with the open shower and the ball and claw foot tub.

Got charged 257 dollars for a room I canceled. Was hung up on, on the phone. Was talked to like I was an idiot and very rudely at the bar where it seemed to me the lady attending to us was drunk.

If I could give them a lower rating than "1" I would.Me, My lady, and our two kids made a reservation and had to change the date of stay to the following day without an issue on the phone.when we arrived at the hotel the staff just stared at us while we walked up to the bar to check in.The lady at the bar was rude, in a condensending manner and she told us the price of the room had increased to $257 the original price was $144There was no notice of this change on the phone and we were given no reason of the increase other than its because they moved us to room 38. Which was already our original reservation. We told them we would not like to stay at the Colter and easily booked a room at the Marriott just up the road. This morning they charged the $257 to our card anyway. This money was for the next two nights of our stay.To be treated like this by the Colter is truly upsetting ?

We made the trip from Idaho Falls just for a one night getaway to stay in a hotel with a restaurant downstairs and bar. We really enjoyed the room, super nicely decorated. We were disappointed to see the restaurant downstairs and breakfast in the morning were both closed via a note on the door (a website or booking notification would have been nice) it kind of ruined the whole purpose of the trip, since we had to eat elsewhere for everything. We did enjoy the bar that evening, although the service could have been better. Would probably try this place again since other than the closures, we enjoyed the facility. Overall would have been a great value!Walkability: Walkable to downtown restaurantsFood & drinks: The restaurant was closed via a note on the door. Looked super cute but unable to try it. The breakfast was also closed in the morning without warning (between the opening hours)Bar was nice, had pool tables and slot machines. Drinks were a great value! No cocktail menu but we were able to order what we asked for.

Made a reservation because my niece had surgery in afton. Drove 2.5 hours to get here and was denied our room because of her ADA service dog. This dog is not an emotion support aninal. It is certified and fully trained as a psychiatric animal. It states on the dogs license "the ADA mandates that this animal and owner have full access to all public places." With her ADA info including her registration number., her handler and the dogs name with a picture. We have traveled in hospitals, airports, hotels, and resturant with no issues. Very disappointed. We finally found a room with accommodation that were very nice and gave us no issues about the service animal.
