Don’t know about the rooms but watch your accounts. They randomly charge you twice for your purchase in the restaurant. The manager hasn’t done nothing about it to make it right

With visiting just the restaraunt I can say that they do have good wings and decent burgers. For a Wyoming bar, the steak is very disappointing. Ordered Rare and it looked like the bottom of my boot. However, with most of their bar tenders it's a performance for getting service in there, especially for a place that isn't very busy. The lady on the restaraunt side doesn't know her menu at all and was impossible to get an order in with. The service on the bar side was an absolute disaster with them frequently unable to figure out who got what food or even manage to take an order. They also need some better music management as sometimes they blast on super high volume some very bad music. However, in Afton it's really your main option for that type of place and it has the right vibe to it that if they took the steps to run it better it could be a good place to go.

Feels like stepping into the Old West! Wonderful atmosphere and clean, comfortable rooms. We loved the bar and cafe! Everywhere you look there is something interesting to look at. Service is top notch! Would definitely stay here again!

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The staff and managers were wonderful people. We were treated like old friends the second we walked through the door. Our room was the economy room. It was small but very nice, clean and comfortable. There was a buffet of authentic Mexican food. The price was good and the meal was perfect. I would stay here again if I ever come back.

You got 5 star hotels that don't even make you feel this at home and feel as accommodated to. They treat you like you're treasure. Small town vibes, small town service. Absolutely fantastic

Room is huge had 3 beds, but AC didnt really work, not enough water pressure for shower and needs to be cleaner

Located in the charming small town of Afton WY, the new owners Tyson and his wife have remodeled the entire lodge and restaurant. The food was great, service even greater. The lodge has both historical charm and modern conveniences, with suites of all shapes and sizes suitable for your needs.

Very unique building. Definitely recommend staying here. No issues, parking, or checking in.

These folks will rewrite your expectations of hospitality!!! Nicest people I’ve met in a long time. George is an absolute saint! My truck broke down and I just needed to find a hotel which is not easy close to Yellowstone in June. My wife and I started calling around and George came and towed my truck and set me and my kids up in a great room! He let me borrow tools to fix my truck! The hotel is fun and is clean and has a nice historical vibe. They also have a full restaurant and bar and can take care of all your needs. This place should be a landmark and is worth a stay for sure!

This is a Wonderful and unforgettable place, Service was just Amazing. Side note, as a African American I felt welcomed more than any other place lately. The bar tender and cook, and management was very pleasant and helpful, and kind. I highly recommend this location for nice time out and great drinks..also management went way out of her way even drove to the local shop just to make my Mojito. If you pass this location your seriously missing out.

Staying at Colter’s Lodge was the highlight of our trip! The room was spotless and smelt fresh and clean. The restaurant serves up hearty meals and the management was friendly, professional and welcomed our family of 6 with the utmost hospitality. The bar is fun and the music is great! 10/10. We’ll be back!

I went here back in 2021 met the owner, it's a bar, it's a restaurant, it's a liquor store it's a hotel if your looking for anything it's probably here!

It was clean, but the ac rattled all night and the toilet ran all night. It's got a lot of cool things about it but for the money there are better options for just a few dollars more.

Stayed here for business. The lady on duty was awesome!!! Not sure how she ran the Front Desk, Bar and Liquor Store by herself. But she did an awesome job. Very friendly, made me feel welcomed, and awesome attitude.
As far as the rooms. I do believe this lodge is haunted. As I kept hearing children running and laughing down the hall in the middle of the night. Yet. No other guest were staying there besides me and my coworkers. And they heard nothing.

Rooms: Well it is an older lodge and not a hotel. But it was clean. Bed was comfortable.
Directv in each room.

Walkability: Everything in this town is within walking distance of this lodge.

Food and drinks: Food was good. Drinks were amazing and very affordable. The lady on duty did an awesome job. My coworkers and I played Pool and Darts at the bar for about 5 hours. Had a great time.

Between stops, an overnight stay - very old, but had a nice evening in the bar. Staff very friendly!
