We went there for our 38th anniversary while staying in Atlantic City WY. The food there is always good, and the old west mining town atmosphere just adds to it. Their Aspen fired steaks are some of the best I ever ate. Just don't forget to call first and make a reservation.
If you’re like me and judge establishments by their taxidermy, there are not enough stars to hand out for The Mercantile in Atlantic City, WY. I’ve traveled extensively searching for pinnacle when it comes to rustic charm, and The Merc cannot be outdone. Beyond the aesthetics, the server at the bar was attentive to our needs and our lunch was fast and hit the spot after a day of blue grouse hunting at my secret spot (don’t bother asking me). I cannot wait for my next visit...
Unfortunately, they were closing early so we didn't get to eat there. The person we talked to was very friendly. I was looking forward to seeing if their food had improved from our last visit. Guess we'll have to wait until next go round.
