“The place was a little hard to find. The images on the internet have a large sign on the building with the name of the restaurant but the building does not have that sign on it. The restaurant is located inside the Horse Palace for those looking to find Homestretch. After a long day of traveling, Sarah took exceptional care of us with great drinks and conversation while the chef provided amazing food!“
“good cheap drinks! though i have to admit i found the atmosphere somewhat spoiled after this vietnam vet cowboy dude dressed in all black sat at the table across from me. me and my beautiful of age cis gender alive goth girlfriend were forced to listen to him lose his temper and scream “AH DUNT NEED ANAH FEWD” at one of the poor waitresses while flashing his decaying teeth for the whole bar to see. we tried to ignore him and continue our good time but he just smelled too good and it kept distracting us and drawing our eyes towards him while he mixed mountain dew into his beer with a twig painted orange with ikea children’s paint. i think we stared a bit too long cause he looked back at us and called us both sickos before storming off while loudly proclaiming he was going home to watch cuties for the 73rd time this week. overall very jarring experience, i hope we dont run into him again.“
“The restaurant and gambling are TWO different services and each service has its own staff. Service staff on both sides are attentive whether dining or gambling, just making sure whoever reads my review understands that. If you are gambling, they do keep your drinks full, interact with you, wish you good luck. Gives you the ‘Cheers’ vibe. On dining side, staff do a great job of making sure you have food and drink! Love going here for lunch or dinner. The food is great and daily specials are always good too! Bookmakers mac and cheese is my top pick!“
“The Italian nachos are a different but tasty take on nachos. Also ordered the chicken and mashed potatoes and was pleasantly pleased with this choice as well. Their Hail Mary Bloody Mary reminded me of the Bloody Mary I get in Louisiana , which is my barometer for all Bloody Mary's.“
“The server, Chris, was fantastic, friendly, and responsive. Gave great recommendations for food and beer. Food was pretty good, and the beer selection was great with plenty of local and national craft brews. The brisket tacos and the “In da Haze” beer were excellent.“
“I really enjoy this place. Great people who seem to care about the players. They are happy to answer questions to. The only issue I noticed was wait time for someone to come to the drink counter but I understand it's one person running drinks to the whole place. And we won a bit so that was exciting!“
