With all the high reviews, I expected better. Being the first customers in the door, we didn't expect to wait 45 minutes for simple burgers. Food was mediocre at best. Bacon on burger is chopped (not strips) and tasted like fake smoke.
The seats and benches are torn.

The food was amazing! I had the grizzly burger that was bison and elk, onion rings with jalapeno ranch dipping sauce and half sweet half unsweetened tea. It was a bit of a wait because of only one waitress, but the food was well worth the wait!

We found this place our last night in Cody. We wish we'd found it our first day! We love mom & pop small businesses. Especially this one! Great, friendly service (met one of the owners, Alicia. Super cool, down to ?). My son got a 16" peperoni pizza, my wife got a 12" BBQ chicken pizza, while I got a 16" veggie. All were steaming hot and delicious! The reviews are accurate! The Hungry Bear serves some awesome food!
~ forget the Thai, Chinese buffet, grandma's places. They are nothing special and don't compare to the HB!
