The food was extremely under seasoned. The staff were obviously not trained, so it was a bit frustrating to just be stared at for a few minutes instead of being greeted or told whether or not we could find a table. The waffle fries were the highlight, which doesn't say much for a place that highlights its meat selections. I would say most of their items are overpriced, but they do try to give you an above average meal. I will give them another chance, but I wasn't impressed with my first visit.

Stopped here for dinner while on my cross country road trip. You are going to want to get a bison burger and get their fried cheese curds. The bison meat pairs so well with the bacon and the cheese curds were the best I ever had. Made my stop before Yellow Stone memorable.

My wife and I stopped in for Dinner while in Cody. We were seated quickly but service overall was slow because it was a busy Friday Night. We got two different Bison Burgers and both were delicious and worth the wait. The overall venue is interesting being both a butcher shop and restaurant. We would recommend and go back if in the area.

We stopped in for dinner. Not knowing how it all works but you grab a menu from by the door and can look it over.Than place your order at the counter. So the day we stopped they had no hamburger.Only sandwich and steaks.I had enough sandwiches coming out of the park so we went for the steak.$50 for a steak. Now it comes with salad and potato and even cake at the end.Steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. Our salad came out five minutes after our meal’s.We gave them to a few people that we’re sitting next to us.
Two other couples came in and looked confused about if you sit or order. We explained and even handed them a menu. They looked it over and asked about not having hamburger.Yep steak for $35-$50 or sandwich. Both couples left.
We almost did ourselves but I did not want to find anything else.I wanted a good meal.
The steak was outstanding but the place needs to rethink its restaurant if trying to sell $50 steaks.

Came 20 minutes before closing with 2 very hungry kids. We were told the kitchen was not accepting any more orders for the night, and there was nothing they could do for us.

Not sure if I had a one off bad experience, but I ordered the elk burger and it was cooked rare. I informed the hostess and she told me that all of their elk is cooked rare to medium rare due to quality reasons. I like pink in my burgers but this was way rarer than I would normally expect

DEFINITELY NOT a premier steak house! Food was tasty. Service was beyond substandard especially for a steakhouse. I had to go to counter to request napkins, table was not cleaned, potatoes were cold. I ask for wine which never came.

Arrived at 745 to be told they were closed. Shows they close at 8pm. Did not receive an option to order food to go.

We actually went in for the butcher shop to buy beef tallow. Folks are finally learning that tallow is better than all of these seed oils but it's still kind of difficult to find. Fortunately Legacy Butcher carries it. I also got a few other things. I can't wait to cook the Angus ribeye tonight. It looks amazing and the marbling is perfect. Should be tasty. When you go in, talk with Randy, he's the owner and butcher and he's extremely knowledgeable and very friendly.
I highly recommend Legacy Butcher.

It took 45 minutes for our burgers, and they weren't that busy. Waitress was slow. Beer was fine , food ok. Wouldn't go back.
