I can't believe I've been coming here for years and have yet to leave a review. Convival saloon/steakhouse right on the main drag in Cody. If you're reading this you're a tourist, because the locals already know it has solid food, service, and very reasonable prices. Get the spinach salad with beef and house made bacon dressing, or one of the fantastic soup specials. The owners, Dave and Jessy are solid members of the community and represent Wyoming values.

Please be aware that Door Dash advertises they service this restaurant but they DO NOT. I placed an order through Door Dash and didn’t receive it or know that it wasn’t going to be fulfilled until the driver got there. I now have to wait 5 days for a refund. This is NOT the driver or restaurants fault.

Last night had one of the worst prime rib cuts. I have had in a long time their. Couldn't eat over half of it cause it was to grisly and knife would barely cut through what i did eat. And baked potato was way over done and hard like it was microwaved. Definitely not worth the $50.00 l spent on the dinner.

The best fish and chips, since I've spent time in Filey, North Yorkshire, England. I didn't think anything could compare to Filey fish, but this was great. They know how to cook the fish. I'll be having this dish, again and again and again. The service was good and friendly. Definitely the best fish and chips in Cody, WY.

On the way to Yellowstone. Not easy to find a restaurant open in Cody, WY, on a Monday night. Wanted to try a bison burger, having heard so much about how tasty bison is. This place really nailed it. The decor is as expected. Wood everywhere, metal ceiling, lots of old west photos and taxidermy. We were a little early for our reservation (you should make one) so we sat at the bar for a bit, but were seated in just a few minutes. The bison burgers were delicious. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and our sides were very good as well. Service was prompt and attentive right up until we left. All good at Proud Cut Saloon.

If you want cheap saloon taste then this is the go to place. Definitely not family friendly. Owners don’t invest in quality food or cooks and you can taste it. Good bar selection but that’s it. Steak is awful and prime rib is even worse.

A good address in Cody. A pleasant setting, good food. The ribs were excellent. The spinach and steak salad as well. The meat was cooked to perfection. Friendly service, if a little fast. They brought us the bill without asking us if we wanted dessert, which we would have done. Just a detail. Not very serious.
