BEST Chicken Fried Steak I've ever eaten! This place is open 24 hours which made it great for getting into town late. Leaving out the next morning we got a GREAT breakfast as well.
This is a historic adventure. If you like interesting construction, this is worth a visit. It was built out of remnants from area buildings and is literally a museum. It is cozy, with a smoking/non smoking section. The ice cream parlor is fun and operational. Unfortunately due to vandalism, the upstairs museum is closed. The Lounge/dance hall opens at 4.

The Plains Trading Post Restaurant has a friendly atmosphere and a nice local feel. The food was okay — nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The service was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s worth noting that it’s still a smoking restaurant, with only the main dining room being non-smoking, which might not appeal to everyone.
