Super frustrating to place a to go order and to get to my destination finding ranch was spilled all over containers. Then to find half the order isn't in the box along with removal requests being ignored. I WON'T be ordering from here ever again.

The food (country fried steak) was great. The service was excellent.
What really got me was not being made to feel unwelcome or out of place. The staff was friendly and the customers were friendly. Some kind soul picked up my check. It sent me into tears. It wasn’t the money as much as it was the kindness. Any sort of genuine kindness has been rare for me, and whoever you are that did that..you healed a piece of me that was losing hope. Thank you for your empathy and compassion. Thank you for your kindness. I would have tried to figure out who you were to tell you myself, but I was fighting off tears. ❤️🩹

Table of 9. Two orders put in wrong, had to refire. One order cooked totally wrong and looked disgusting. Once the first 2 refired came back out, one still wrong. 4 orders of ranch didn't arrive, no catsup, one with pancakes waited on his syrup and a side. Chicken ranch sandwich had no ranch. Drink order was wrong for 4 people. Offered pie on Wed, free pie anyway. Brought one wrong pie and didn't bring one. Had to redo those as well. It's great that this company hires the disabled but he desperately needed supervision and help. He was a trainee and waited on us alone.

Had a wonderful dining experience here! Stopped in here for breakfast and was warmly greeted by the hostess and was given my choice of a table or booth. Received immediate service from Brittany and had my food very quickly after placing my order. My food was hot and served with nice portions. I appreciated the exemplary service from Brittany and enjoyed the omelette and hash browns that I ordered. While waiting outside the restaurant for my transportation I returned inside the restaurant to use the bathroom and noticed that they had my favorite pie in the display case and saw Brittany behind the counter and asked her if I could take a piece of pie to go and she quickly accommodated that order and even included a scoop of ice cream with it. Overall I had an exceptional visit here and will return again if I ever visit Douglas again!
$12.95 for a small side salad and half of a sandwich. Plus, some of the lettuce was bad in this expensive salad. Oh, $3.50 for a glass of Pepsi. Village Inn is off my list of eateries.
