Food was just okey. Nothing special. Service was good. To pricey for the for overall experience
Elk tenderloin - 5/5
Beef tenderloin - 4/5 - the cook on it was good but the quality of the beef itself was not great
Wines - 50% chances is a good wine. Good barbera but the other wines from special menu not as good
The mudpie - 1/5 it was served HARD as ice. The espresso icecream in the desert was really good though. But it should not have been served that hard. No wonder no party around us ordered desserts.

The duck is an amazing dish. The portion is not very big, but the pairing of the protein with the sides and sauces was a culinary high on our trip. Recommended!

This place is awesome. I had the filet and my wife had the trout. The entrees were so yummy. I did order my steak medium rare and it came back I thought a bit under cooked. So, I asked the waiter to take it back and introduce it to the heat a bit more on my behalf. Honestly, I was a bit worried what to expect when the plate was returned. I was overjoyed upon the return of my plate because it the steak was cooked more deeply but still medium rare and the plate was re-dressed, which means the plate came back beautiful.
I don't drink alcohol but enjoyed a couple of non-alcohol beers, which were yummy and fun.
We ordered one dessert and it was good, but not great; this is why I only gave 4 stars on the food. However, I emphasize, the food overall was more than good enough to beckon us to return.
There are two more things I would like to say:
- We really enjoyed our waiter. He was absolutely professional and fun. He made the experience more than pleasant for us.
- I had a elk fillet at a different restaurant the following day and ordered it medium rare. It was served exactly as my steak was originally served at the Blue Lion. This makes me think that my orientation perhaps was incorrect and that the initial cook on my steak was customary.
Visit the Blue Lion and enjoy - it is worth the visit.

After a long day of road biking around Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park, we stopped at the Blue Lion for and early dinner. We had a reservation for 5:30, we were seated quickly.
We started off with their house salads. I’m not much of a salad guy, but it was really tasty! Candied nuts and a nice flavorful dressing.
I had the Elk Tenderloin and it was fantastic. Seasoned and cooked really well. My bud had the salmon and thought it was really tasty as well.
Everything was delicious, I’d recommend giving them a try if you’re in town and you can get a reservation. Really good!
I’ll be back again

The food is okay. There was nothing that we thought were outstanding. However, the plates presentation and the use of some culinary techniques showed more of the fine dining part than other regular restaurants. The stuffed mushrooms were very tasty. The atmosphere was awesome, we certainly enjoyed the cozy vives and the guy with the guitar. What made us disappointed was the server. She was sooooo slow, we were there 2 and a half hour, not because we wated, we were so tired for driving all day: 45 minutes for fisrt course!! Not sure what happened 😕 tha day with their kitchen timing.
Also the server attitude was like she was giving us a huge favor, we certainly didn't appreciate that. I understand sometimes we get tired, etc, but we were tourists who wanted to have a good time and... we did. However, we will try another restaurant next time we're in town.

I love starting with baba ghanoush – it is the best! The scallops, Idaho, trout, the filet mignon, the elk, the duck… All, creative and delicious! A nice selection of wines, local beers, and cocktails.
Vegetarian options: Salads, baba ghanoush, pasta dishes.

Drinks were mediocre at best, service was poor, and when our food came out cold we left. We found a place last minute willing to accommodate us. I liked that the menu had minimal options for entrees. I figured they would do a small number of dishes very well but everything they brought was completely underwhelming. If you’re 60+ years old looking for a mediocre meal with a tired menu and a boring atmosphere - this is your place. It maybe unfair to judge based off of a single dish and drinks but I knew nothing was likely to improve. The manager said he understood and even though I offered to pay they declined which was nice of them.

Wow. This restaurant did not disappoint. From the beginning, the vibe is really nice. Elegant but not stuffy or fancy. We ate on the patio, which was lovely. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The bartender was excellent. I’ve never had a better Vesper martini. Perfect. The stuffed mushrooms were out of this world. The rack of lamb was as good as we hoped for. Lived up to the hype. We eat at a lot of places all over the world and this restaurant stands out. Highly recommended.

We drove in from a day full of hiking in the Grand Tetons and had reservations at the blue lion. We had seen weeks before that it was highly rated and took reservations through google maps! Everyone talked about how good the lamb chops were but we decided on the elk tenderloin, roasted salmon, and seafood scampi! All of the items turned out great! The food was delicious, waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable, and atmosphere was great! We ended up choosing the mud pie for dessert, it was a great way to finish up dinner! I would highly recommend the blue lion and plan to go back in the future! The online reservations through Google worked great, we just walked up and were almost immediately seated! (Also, the rustic inn has a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up, making it super nice) One side note, if you’re looking for a fast meal this is not it, we were there for around 2 hours but the food quality was well worth the wait!
