Reading mixed reviews for Wild Sage, we though we would gamble on a restaurant open during shoulder season in Jackson, but it was the wrong gamble. We had a reservation at 6:30 for 2, for a Bday dinner and waited until 6:57 to be seated, while the restaurant was only about 15% full if that. Tables were wide open, but no one would seat us. There was only 1 server, and 1 bartender, no host/hostess, and the service was very disappointing. We were given a complimentary champagne while waiting, but since one of us didn't drink and no one bothered asking, that was awkward. The food took much too long to arrive, with so few diners in the space, and when it did arrive, the Duck was overcooked and the Halibut was dry and almost hard to chew on the edges. Instead of a normal size piece of Halibut, it was possibly 2.5" square and there was no side. Just a tiny piece of over cooked Halibut for $50. The waiter was loud and not trained well, and we were told that there was a skeleton crew in the kitchen so we needed to be patient. Not a good confidence boost in how our food would taste. The fireplace, music, furnishings and aesthetics were actually very nice, but without good service and good food, you aren't left with much.

The menu is pretentious and the food accordingly was over-fussed with. The service was good and the chef prepared food well within the menu description. For example, does one need to add squid ink to pasta?

What an amazing experience - expertly curated menu with knowledgeable servers, fine tuned service and a relaxing ambiance. I had a wonderful final evening at the Wild Sage trying new dishes and flavor combinations and relaxing by the fire. Thank you!

Food was absolutely stunning. Duck provided exceptional food suggestions and service. One of the best meals we've had.

Wild Sage in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, offers a truly exceptional dining experience, one that seamlessly blends rustic charm with refined culinary artistry. Our recent visit left us utterly impressed, particularly by the standout dishes and the impeccable service. The elk carpaccio was, without exaggeration, the best we've ever had. Thinly sliced, tender, and perfectly seasoned, it was a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. It's a must-try for any discerning foodie. Following this, the garlic soup was a delightful surprise – rich, creamy, and bursting with the robust flavor of garlic, yet elegantly balanced. For our main courses, we opted for the sable fish and the rabbit pappardelle. The sable fish was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist, with a delicate flavor profile that showcased its freshness. The rabbit pappardelle was equally impressive, the tender rabbit paired beautifully with the hearty pasta and a flavorful sauce. Both dishes were executed with precision and showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and culinary expertise. However, the dining experience was elevated even further by our server, Duck. His experience and knowledge were truly remarkable. He navigated the menu with ease, providing insightful descriptions of each dish's flavor profile and offering thoughtful recommendations. His passion for the food was evident, and his attentiveness made us feel genuinely valued as guests. The ambiance of Wild Sage is warm and inviting, perfectly complementing the rustic beauty of Jackson Hole. It's a place where you can relax and savor a memorable meal, knowing that you're in the hands of a team that truly cares about the dining experience. In summary, Wild Sage is a culinary gem in Jackson Hole. From the exquisite elk carpaccio to the flavorful mains and the exceptional service provided by Duck, every aspect of our meal was outstanding. We highly recommend Wild Sage to anyone seeking a truly special dining experience.

Food was just OK. We asked our food to be cooked medium rare, came medium. Beef Tartare had no flavor. There are better options for the price.

We had an incredible stay at the Rusty Parrot Lodge. Beautifully appointed hotel and rooms. They definitely thought of all the little things like coffee and tea, cookies in the afternoon, spa items in the rooms. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They provided recommendations and assistance. Beautiful restaurant and bar area. Loved the walkability to square for food and shopping. Used their driving service to Teton Village for 1 day and enjoyed it. Thumbs up to Diego. He was there in the afternoons and took the time to talk to us and see what we were doing and offer recommendations. Used United Car Service (Mert) for airport transportation and he was incredible.

Very accommodating for our large family. Seats next to the kitchen were incredible, the staff were welcoming and happy, Chef Hugo is awesome especially interacting with our daughter, and the food... O my. Hands down best flavor in Jackson for fine dining. This will be added to our trip every year.

Amazing food, incredible service. Our server let us know the menu changes based in the season but the rabbit and duck were incredible. Every cocktail was well made, and intently thought out. Locals and tourists alike have something to gain from the unique experiences that can be had at The Wild Sage. Very high-end, definitely the best dinner experience I've ever had; and worth every penny.

The chef was amazing, I loved staying at the hotel, we sat right next to the kitchen daily looking at the chef, she was amazing how talented she is and the exquisite food she cooked for us, especially the ricotta pancakes!
Till her day off…
The chef who covered for her, he was absolutely unprofessional and the food was not half as good as the days before, my steak was cold, it’s a shame this kind of restaurants don’t follow up with quality control.
I wouldn’t leave a review unless I feel it’s helpful and I really hope they take this into consideration, keep the good stuff, my husband and me loved this place in general

If your looking for a dining experience instead of just dinner, this is a must. Patrick was our server and was over the top. He took really good care of us, sat us by the fireplace where you could watch the chefs prepare the orders. I had the duck confett and my wife had the rabbit and of course we tried each other's plates and both were exceptional. Most amazing dinner I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing

Wild Sage is a spectacular restaurant with with an elegant cozy mountain modern vibe. The food is polished and classy and the chef has created an incredible menu. The cocktail menu is also creative and extremely impressive. I am a local who has traveled extensively and dined at some of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants. This restaurant can compete with any of them and is Michelin star worthy. Thank you for your addition to the Jackson community.
