An upscale restaurant and brewery with a varied menu. The meat loaf with a chipotle chile sauce came perfectly done and the meat sat on a bed of tasty mashed potatoes. Others in our party had the black cod and the salmon with good reviews. Unfortunately for a brewery the only non-alcoholic beer choice was a bottled Heineken. Not bad, and better than bottled domestics. The server staff had a lot of customers, so our work party of 8 didn’t have a lot of checking in.

We have been in the Cowfish/Lander Brewing before and we enjoyed it and as we passed through on September 10th we gave it a try again. We had ribs and the tenderloins tips. The ribs were alright, overpriced for what you get, but the tips in the pasta were pretty good. Plus we like going to brewpubs and trying different beers and the On Belay IPA was worth it. We sat at the little two person table, #46, right by the door when you come into the bar area. Two different young men came with our food and beer. Both very polite and friendly. The issue comes with our server. I won't put her name down but her first name starts with a "C". She brought us bread and our food, and after that we were put on ignore. Not once, and I mean not once, did she ask us how our food was, or if we needed more water or another beer. I couldn't count how many times she went by us with or without anything in her hands. She didn't even look at us. We usually like to stay and have another drink but with the service that we didn't receive we chose to leave and go somewhere else to finish off our evening.

Had dinner tonight for my Moms birthday(we’re from out of town, never been here before), we came in an hour or so before close and everyone was very friendly. Got a spot in a nice corner and were taken great care of. My Mom can be very particular and our waitress did amazing, very friendly and professional. I didn’t catch her name but thank you!!
As for the food, fantastic. We had a shrimp dish to start that I can’t pronounce but it’s similar to firecracker/bang bang shrimp. Mom had fish tacos and I had the Ribeye. Our plates were cleaned to say the least. This will definitely be the go-to anytime passing through Lander.

8/30/2024 3 adults for dinner. Iced tea and water for beverages. Mushrooms for appetizer. Side salad with Bleu cheese. Beer cheese burger cooked medium with crispy fries, 1/2 herbed chicken with potato, and meatloaf with mashed potatoes. All the dishes were very good. Service was prompt. Water was served as soon as we were seated. We had been driving all day, and we were parched. We never had to ask for a refill on beverages. This is always a plus for us. Victoria promptly approached, was friendly, made recommendations for appetizer, and provided add'l information about meals. When Victoria brought our meals, our chins hit the table. Portions are ginormous. To go boxes required for chicken and meatloaf. Would we return? Definitely. Most tourist areas, services, and food must be taken by lowering one's expectations. I happy to say, our expectations were far exceeded. Thank you Victoria and Cowfish.
Parking: We parked a couple of blocks away, but it is an easy walk.

Truly the best meal that I’ve enjoyed in the States in a very long while (New England native ?). Pork shank with mole verde and black bean/corn succotash was absolute perfection; Harissa carrots were devoured as a starter; cucumber/coriander cocktail was delicious and reordered; chocolate budino was smooth and not overly sweet for dessert. The atmosphere is fine dining meets chill. Prices are on point considering the ingredients and high level execution. Others in our group of four including a pre teen enjoyed scallops on risotto and also seafood pasta. If we are ever in the Lander region again this would be a repeat performance!!! If I lived in Lander we’d be in at least every month. For now I’ll set out to recreate at home…

One of the most delightful meals I can remember in a very very long time! I had my server suggest an appetizer and a main course, and was absolutely Blown Away by both! She then suggested carrot cake for dessert, and that was also an incredible treat!
Service was wonderful but watch out for management. When offering to buy a keepsake glass, we were told we could keep ours free of charge. As we were leaving, management stopped us and then proceeded to berate, belittle, and then aggressively accuse us of stealing. We offered to buy them but were ordered to leave the premesis. They lost our business forever.

We had a wonderful experience with our food and service. When we tried to buy a beer glass with the logo and name on it, We were told that everyone in Lander had one, there wasn’t a price. We tried to leave with our 2 glasses and the manager stopped us. They refused to sell them to us and accused us of stealing and asked us to leave. We really wanted the glasses and were willing to pay for them. We fear our waitress has lost her job over this. They definitely are not in the hospitality business.
I am concerned for the waitress. She was so gracious and lovely during our dining experience . Her graciousness as other waitresses in our experiences in the past was the reason for our return to Cowfish. We were, as she was, publicly humiliated and berated.
Please do better and offer what we want for sale. We can pay and are willing.
