Kinda of a hole-in-the-wall place. Good food served quickly.

We used to love this place for its great value and consistently good food, but our recent visits have been underwhelming. We still like it. Prices have jumped from around $12.50 per dish to $21 — which now puts them close to some of the more premium Italian spots in town — but the quality and service haven’t kept pace. Our birria tacos were soggy, served without the birria juice, and even the lime had already been squeezed. The $4 salsa also felt excessive for what it was. We’ve had many great meals here in the past, but unfortunately, it doesn’t feel like the same experience anymore.

We were staying in Lander and wanted some Mexican food. It's in the same building as the gas station so we were a little worried. But the food was good. We had a green burrito and a chimmy. Both were better than expected. Green sauce was really good. Service was nice and quick. Chips with salsa and beans start it off. Don't be afraid of the location.

I called in my order to go as I was not feeling well. I'm thankful for Google Maps directing me here as I passed it the first time as I didn't know that it was connected to the Sinclair gas station. I got 30% more food for my money at this place compared to the other Mexican food restaurant in town. They worked with me around my allergies to tomatoes. I got beef enchiladas with a Mexican Crema sauce and I was surprised that the beef was in a brown sweet sauce (mole?) that I didn't like as it was too sweet. I would have preferred plain ground beef with cheese inside the enchiladas. I also think that their version of Queso Blanca, where they added sour cream to their queso to make it more white in color, was not good as the sour cream curdled. The queso is Very Thick and I prefer a thinner queso with a smooth buttery texture. But the refried beans and chips are good. I'm sure that anyone else not allergic to tomatoes will enjoy the food here much more. The inside is OK, just small, dark, and crowded with heavy wood tables. I've heard that they serve really good margaritas!
