Our waitress was great, she was friendly and gave the perfect amount of attention to everyone in our party of six. If I could give separate reviews it would be a five star for service. We were looking forward to a pleasant dining experience. However, we were unaware until our arrival that there was to be live “music”. I don’t like to be unkind but the performance was terrible. Even though we asked to be seated in another room, the noise that consisted of inexperienced guitar strumming and a caterwauling sound from the singer, made a very expensive meal, very unpleasant.The food was not stellar either. The salad bar was very plain, offering nothing you would not get in a simple side salad. Our main course consisted of a small serving of steak and a small side. The presentation was not at all like the pictures on the website. The steak was very good, however.It wouldn’t take much to make the Hitching Rack a nice place to take guests for a special evening out, but the live “music” needs to go and the food and presentation need improvement. This review is meant to offer constructive criticism not to air my complaint, because I would like to see this business succeed.

$30 for a frozen 8 Oz sirloin with fake grill marks and half of a tiny baked potato. WAYY over priced, the food is seriously no better than Taco Johns. No one in my party of 6 enjoyed their food

Ate there last night and the service was wonderful but we had Filet and Rib I. They were not very good came out cold and the other couple agree we wouldnt want to go back there. Inside it was cold to sit there. They need to get a steak in hudson to see what a real steak should be.

Meagan was amazing!! While we hung out for a few drinks, from seating to being done eating was 45 minutes or slightly less. Meagan was attentive and on the spot with everything!! We will return for sure!!

Can't speak on the New Owners or the food in 2022 but let me tell you a story from 1998! Running from the law out of Ct I headed out west to work oil rigs which worked great until winter hit! Ended up in Lander in a small apt at 141 N4th! Went to a work agency and they sent me up to see Daryl at the Hitching Rack! I had some bad habits and he could see that right away! Told me I could start that night cleaning up! Worked there 6 days a week for 4 months! Quickly moved from cleaning to food prep and helping cook! Daryl was the man! Took care of his employees and they took care of him! Daryl handed me a envople the day I caught my ride to kimble Nebraska to catch the greyhound to NYC! We kept in contact over the phone for awhile but it ended! Great man! Story is over!
