We used to love coming here (though it’s been a little while), and the food was always delicious. However, when my boyfriend and I visited a few nights ago, we found out that everything is now fried in beef tallow. This was really disappointing, as my boyfriend has a severe food allergy that prevents him from eating red meat.
I’m not sure when this change was made, but it was a bummer to realize he can no longer enjoy items like the chicken wings. I ordered something to-go and noticed that the fries tasted a bit off compared to what I remembered - once again, that could be the beef tallow. Definitely not the place to go if you have any food restrictions!
That said, the service was great and very fast, which we really appreciated.

Left totally stuffed, with leftovers. Shaymus Tots were great, the hatch peppers really made the dish but the pork on the tots was good as well. Burger was colossal and messy but delicious, fries were good. No clear drink menu but you can order 32oz drafts.

I had the country salad with fried chicken chunks & fresh jalapenos. My son had The Naughty - also with fresh jalapenos. And my hubby had the Cowboy with Candied Jalapenos! 😋

Pretty good burger and fries. Small, claustrophobic restaurant with a small bar in front. Wait times can get crazy, so give them your number early for a reservation. Food was good. Burger was fine and fries were good. Super small menu- but I think that’s the way to do it. If all you do is burgers, fries, and a hot dog… chances are you’ll be pretty good at doing that. Service can be a bit slow, the food takes a while to come out, and the atmosphere is quite loud. Despite all this, we visit born in a barn quite frequently.

The server Dennis works on Saturday and Sunday, he is on top of his game. The food is great. Next time we are in Laramie we’ll stop in.
We had an amazing experience for lunch. The food was good. The service was amazing. Our server, Olivia, was probably the best we've ever experienced anywhere. Can't wait to go back.
