I stopped into Mizu Sushi for dinner and was impressed from the start. I kicked things off with the bang bang wings and egg rolls, and honestly, both were standout appetizers. The wings came out hot and crispy with just the right balance of sweetness, spice, and crunch—they were easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The egg rolls were fresh, perfectly fried, and packed with flavor, not the soggy or overly greasy kind you sometimes get. I’d recommend starting with both if you want to set the tone right.

For the main course, I ordered the beef pho and a few pieces of eel sushi. The pho broth was rich, layered, and comforting, with tender beef and a solid balance of herbs and noodles. It tasted like it had been simmered with care rather than rushed. The eel sushi was fresh, had a great texture, and was prepared cleanly with just the right amount of sauce—not overpowering, which let the flavor of the eel come through.

The atmosphere was laid back but welcoming, and service was smooth and attentive without hovering. Everything came out quickly, and the quality across the board was consistent. For the price point, the portions and execution were both excellent.

Overall, Mizu Sushi is a spot I’d definitely return to, whether for a casual night out or a craving for solid sushi and pho in one place. Highly recommend the wings and egg rolls to start—they set a high bar for the rest of the meal, and the kitchen delivered.

I can't find a good Asian restaurant in Laramie. Another bust. The first time I came here I had Pho. This is a Vietnamese beef noodle. I was so excited to try it here. They didn't show me that they could make a good Vietnamese dish. Second time here and the same result. This time I had sushi and it wasn't even close to fresh Japanese authenticity. I had the spicy tuna and it was mushy and would not hold its shape. It just fell apart. I Also tried the BBQ pork bowl with rice noodles. It wasn't even close to an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. The only thing that was good was the service. I will not try this place the third time. I just think there isn't any real authentic Asian food in Laramie.

We stopped at Mizu Sushi in the middle of a long drive from California to Nebraska, hoping for a good meal and some leftovers for the road. We ordered:
• A sushi roll
• Beef pho
• Beef teriyaki plate
• Chicken teriyaki plate
• Tempura appetizer (shrimp and vegetables)
• Two miso soups (included with the entrées)

The miso soup had a slightly weird smell like some miso can, but the flavor seemed normal enough. The sushi came out early and was fine; my wife ate it without issue and enjoyed the side sauce.

When the main dishes arrived, the smell from the beef pho was immediately off, a strong, unmistakable odor of spoiled meat. I tasted a spoonful of broth to confirm, and it was clearly bad. The beef teriyaki had the same issue. My wife took a small bite and noted it was foul as well as having poor texture. At that point, we stopped eating. From the tempura, we only tried one shrimp and a couple of vegetables, and it was actually really good, the rest went untouched. The chicken teriyaki was okay, but we didn’t eat much of it either because bad meat is a full stop.

We let the staff know politely that we wouldn’t be continuing the meal and were willing to pay for whatever they felt was fair. They were kind but didn’t take accountability and offered a “sorry about that” as we paid on the way out. In the end, we were charged $31.80 for the sushi, chicken teriyaki, and tempura; even though most of the food remained uneaten.

The entire experience took about 45 minutes coming off the highway into town. We left the food and the to-go containers behind. I’m sharing this purely to document what happened, so others can be informed. Photo of table as we left it has been included.

In my opinion service was fine, just poorly managed serving folks bad food. Comp the meal especially when you see the patron leaving empty handed with full plates left behind. Im sure when the food is fresh its as enjoyable as the environment appeared to be.

We were visiting Laramie and wanted to try one of our favorite meals, pho. After searching online, Mizu was the only restaurant we could find that served Pho.

The overall score I would give it is a 4 and the food a 3/5. I imagine if we had sushi it would've been rated higher in terms of food. However, the pho was not the greatest and I would recommend getting something else unless you are really craving the pho. We got the beef pho, and the broth was sour and there was a lack of meat that came with it. It wasn't the worst pho I've had, but I would not go back here again and get the pho.

The service was good and the atmosphere was really nice as well so if you get something other than pho you will probably enjoy it!

I am mad at myself because it's been so long since I've been here that I forgot how amazing the sushi is and friendly the staff are. This place is incredible! Keep up the good work chefs -- Tonight I had the Oscar roll, among others, it was beautiful, and it was the most delicious roll ever and I used to work in Florida so I know my sushi... Bravo 👏 My only regret is not taking a photo for this review *Edit* Turns out I did take one of the menu item... it doesn't do the actual roll justice, enjoy! Highly recommend this place and roll!

Waited over an hour and a half for food. Had empty water glasses for about a half hour. The sushi was mediocre at best, but overpriced compared to other local places. The servers rarely checked in on us. When we were told our food would be out soon it took another half hour. The website also has almost no information and the menu was missing prices on many items and there were no descriptions on anything. Very disappointing and put a damper on our Valentine’s Day. Place looked like a warehouse they just moved into.

The menu seriously needs descriptions for the different rolls. I could make you guys a spreadsheet in 20 minutes flat, especially when most of the rolls are just variations on a Cali roll.

The lighting is a bit dark but also abrasive?

The sushi is pretty good, tastes fresh. It doesn't keep well, so don't order more than you can eat. I hear great things about the pho here, but I havent had it myself.
