Visited Sweet Melissa's based on the overwhelming positive reviews on google and reddit and was just really disappointed.
We have the Cashew Queso, Crabless Cake, the Chickpea Tika Masala, The Impossible Burger with Onion, Cheese and Fig Jam.
The Queso and Cake gave us hope and were both nice riffs of classics.
The entrees were just disappointing. The curry had no sauce on the plate (just what the chickpea were kind of coated in).
The burger was fine, but all I tasted was the onion and fig topping, whereas I've had impossible burgers with more flavor before.
Service was pretty poor. The restaurant was somewhat busy (it was ~6pm on a Tuesday) but our drink order was lost and it wasn't until I reminded our waitress about it that we eventually got our drinks (and even then the Arnold Palmer wasn't stirred).
Overall I was disappointed and would probably not visit again.

Long time, 50+ years, vegetarian. So many delicious looking options, was a hard choice but finally made up my mind.
Loved having a drink next door too!

Incredible food and amazing service. Very generous portion sizes. The salads and grilled cheese are great options for patrons on a budget, while other dishes, including the soups of the day, vegan enchiladas and kimchi pancakes (seasonal) are delicious. Desserts are a bit pricey for the portion size, but the vegan ice cream sunday and the applel crisp are divine. This is my go to spot in Laramie for a meal (just be aware that Friday and weekend nights are packed, with wait times sometimes exceeding an hour to get a table).

Sweet Melissa is an amazing restaurant! I have never tasted chili like the one I had there. The lemon bread was also really good, and it is definitely the place to go for anyone vegan, veggitarian, etc. They have amazing standards. I honestly recommend this place to locals and travelers.

I was looking for vegan food in Laramie and am so happy I chose Sweet Melissa. Even though they were very busy, the server was very nice and helpful with the menu and suggestions. The food was excellent. I had the tempeh gyro and mashed potatoes. The prices were great for this day and age. Will definitely return when in Laramie. Cute place and great old town location.

First time visit, heard about it for years. If you didn't know the food was vegetarian based you never would guess it. Everything was delicious: drinks, entrees, and dessert. Will be returning again.

Love this place but will never sit on bar side again. 0 service. Had to go through 3 people to try to pay our bill. We eat here every time we come to Laramie and this was disappointing. I understand being busy on a game weekend but this was some of the worst service we've ever had.

Nice vegetarian restaurant. The food was overall good. The falafel dish was not so good because the falafels were overcooked! The restaurant was filled to capacity so the service was just average.

Melissa is a genius. The food is vegetarian, and so creative and delicious. I love the banh mi with seitan, chipotle enchiladas, the salads, cauliflower wings, cauliflower melt. The atmosphere is comfy and the people there are fantastic and kind.
