The food was terrible. The chicken was dry. The food was extremely hot to where it burned the roof of your mouth. I’ve had Thai food and this place definitely was not what I’ve been used to eating in other cities.

I have been to Thai Spice a few times since they changed ownership in October of 2024. Overall, I enjoy the food and will continue to eat here, typically only with one other person or for takeout.
Positives:
- Their food is typically quite good. It has good flavor, good potion sizes, and at a reasonable price. Sometimes the spice is inconsistent (ordering mild can result in very little spice to spice that leaves your mouth burning). Their curries can be a little runny compared to other Thai restaurants, but are still good. I personally really enjoy their Pineapple Fried Rice.
- Orders for small parties (2-3 people) arrive in 15-20 minutes, which is around the same wait time as take out.
- The atmosphere nice and cozy, but can get a little loud when full.
Negatives:
- For parties 4+, you can expect not all the food to arrive at the same time. For every 1-2 people added to your group above 4, expect 5-10 minutes to be added for the food to arrive. EX: 8 people, you'll need to wait an additional 10-20 minutes after the first plate arrives for the last plate to be served. This is quite unprofessional of the kitchen. At the time I'm writing this, the restaurant as been open about 2 months under new management, but they've had this problem since they re-opened.
- Their wait staff can be quite unprofessional, which is the main reason I am writing this review. I understand with new management new staff needs to be trained, but the waitress that served my table at my last visit was obviously not trained on how to do her job. She started by saying she does not know the menu and requested that each guest point to the item on the menu they wanted. Saying "chicken pineapple fried rice" didn't work, I had to point across the table at what I wanted on the menu so the waitress could see it. Other than be unprofessional, this turned south when one member of my party received the wrong item. The other waitress came over and helped resolve the issue and said they would refund the mistake. Later, when the checks came out, our original waitress came back to the guest that got the wrong item and told the guest that she pointed to the wrong item on the menu and that it was the guest's fault for getting the wrong food. This was despite the guest stated the said they wanted a different menu item by saying it's name and pointed to the correct item on the menu. The waitress was not having it and insisted the guest was wrong. This is clearly unprofessional. The waitress then began clearing other tables, but didn't take one of our checks at our table. After a few minutes, we had to get her attention to run our other check so we could leave.
Again, this is a good Thai restaurant to go to on a date night or for take out, but I would avoid it for large groups and for potentially unprofessional wait staff. I hope the new owners can resolve these issues soon, as this would make Thai Spice a much more recommendable restaurant in Laramie.

Quaint little joint in Laramie. The Ginger plate with beef & vegetables was delish! Aromatic ginger and tang was delightful. Pad Thai was fair, could have been a bit spicier, still tasty. The orange chicken was awesome- actually tasted like fresh oranges. Boba tea was a hit, as was the Thai Tea.

I guess it was unusually busy and so my order took a lot longer than I expected but… the food was delicious and in spite of how busy it was, the servers were friendly and cheerful.
I don’t live anywhere near here but if I did, I’d return.

Suddenly they don’t deliver? We placed an order and had it delivered just a few weeks ago. Now they say they haven’t delivered since December?? What is going on?

Got the Massaman Curry (with tofu) and the Chicken Satay! Both were super good, I love coconut/creamy curries, and the peanut sauce is awesome.
