We enjoyed our first elk burger lunch here after our morning hike on the Shore Line Trail behind Colter Bay Visitor Center. Food was good and service was great. Free wifi so we stayed on to plan for our onward journey.
Great buffalo burgers
This is an excellent restaurant for dinner. We arrived at 5pm when they open for dinner. They filled up really fast. The service was prompt, friendly and polite. The food was excellent. We are so happy that we dined there.
John Colter's Ranch House is a convenient spot to get a meal near campgrounds in Grand Teton National Park. The food is often described as phenomenal and delicious, featuring excellent elk and bison burgers, tasty hamburgers, and the Moran Salad, which is HUGE and could feed 2-3 people. For a group of four or more, the family platter is a great deal for plenty of food. The menu is basic, like most national park restaurants, but the portions are large. The staff is known for being very friendly, fun, and helpful, with a welcoming attitude that makes the dining experience enjoyable. Although it is an expensive place, it is a recommended experience for those looking for good options and a cozy atmosphere.
