We really loved this place! Great menu choices. Easy to eat vegan or vegetarian. We went back the next morning for the breakfast buffet. This is inside the park. It is currently closed for the winter.Vegetarian options: The veggie burger was great.Parking: Inside the state park.

The place is located inside the entrance to the lobby of the headwaters lodge and cabins itself and is pretty much the only restaurant option for about 10 miles.Given that, the restaurant is exceptionally good even for its remote isolation. The place offers amazing delicious entrees like their burgers and some really nice appetizers like the Bruschetta bread with goat cheese. They also have a fine collection of wines.I would recommend arriving early for dinner as the place gets full easily and you might have to wait 20-30 minutes to get a table. But overall, an excellent place for lunch/dinner/breakfast.Vegetarian options: Great options like pizza and pasta are available for all the vegetarians out there.

I don't know how this place doesn't have a 5 star average! We stopped for lunch on our way south to Jackson from Yellowstone and had such a nice lunch we went back for dinner. The food was incredible. I had a bison burger for lunch and the trout for dinner. Both were amazing. Daniel, our lunch server was absolutely terrific! The location also has gas as well as a nice convenience store and gift shop.

Considering location, I give it 4 stars. Waitress was very nice, but service was a bit slow. Approx 15 min to take order, food took over 30 min to come out. Mac and cheese is no longer to die for. Burger was a 4 out of 5. Expensive like most places near Yellowstone. $20 for a burger.. let's go Brandon.

Frittata was alittle too porous for me; too much batter? Ham was too thick and not crispy enough for my liking. Pancakes had 0 flavor. Potatoes needed salt. Pricey for what you get.

We had the best chicken burger at this place. Went there with zero expectations but this place is really worth trying when you’re visiting Yellowstone or Grand Teton.

My husband and I went camping at Flagg Ranch for a week and on our last night decided to treat ourselves. What a treat! We started with the apple and goat cheese bruschetta. Incredible! My husband got the bison burger, said it was the best burger he's had in a long time.I had the trout with vegetables of the day. It was a fabulous meal to end a fabulous vacation. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable! A hidden gem!

We had to wait nearly 30 minutes after sitting down to put in our orders. We ordered two burgers, which took nearly an hour for the kitchen to make. Our waiter was nice enough to bring our table a cornbread basket in the meantime, but for it to take that long just to make burgers and fries was pretty appalling. The burgers seemed like they were made by the kitchen (i.e. not frozen), but neither I nor my friend liked our burgers much at all despite paying around $20 per burger. The fries are great, but for a full meal I can't recommend this location. You'd be better off going to their grocery store and buying a premade sandwich or one of their freeze-dried meals!

Not dog friendly, which is fine. Just beware the overzealous security guard. Bistro grab n go was expensive and turkey sandwich was moldy. We will never go back….

Ate here for dinner after a long day hiking. My party of four was quoted a 15 minute wait when only half (if even) the tables were occupied. We put in our food orders as soon as we met our waiter. Ordered three burgers and a taco salad. It took over an hour to see our food arrive to our table. My husband and I bit into our burgers (we both ordered medium), and mine was actually cold, and his was medium rare at best. My husband's side salad was also served warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. We didn't see our waiter for a bit, but when we did we asked if they could please fix our burgers. Our waiter obliged and suggested newly cooked burgers served in to-go containers because he knew the wait had been awhile. He went back to the kitchen, and came right back out to grab our plates from us. We figured the chef just wanted to see the cook temperature or whatever. Instead of newly cooked hamburgers, they reheated our partially eaten burgers, and served us those. Pretty disappointing considering the prices. They ended up comping us the price of one burger. Save your money, and try a different restaurant in the park.

We dined at Sheffield's on two separate days. We had the buffet breakfast on Monday at 7am and a dinner on Wednesday at 7:15/8:15 pm. We were very pleased with the decor and atmosphere in the Headwaters Lodge and Sheffield's. The breakfast buffet had biscuits and gravy (excellent), french toast (dry), bacon, sausage(excellent), scrambled eggs (no thanks), assorted pastries and breads (yum), oatmeal, granola, yogurt, cottage cheese, fruit and a few other things. We ordered lattes from the coffee bar which were pretty good. Overall, it was a good option and decently priced ($22 for adults). For dinner, we basically tag teamed it as we didn't want our pooches to be alone in our camper. I ordered the bruschetta ($13) and a side order of smokey bacon mac n cheese ($5)- both were delicious. My son had a 1/4 lb cheeseburger and fries (curly potato wedges) off if the kids' menu ($9). Our water was topped off several times. I left a really good tip knowing that my husband and stepdaughter would have the same table and waitress. This is where it all goes wrong. The waitress brought the bar menu to the table (which has less offerings- more of a lunch menu) instead of the dinner menu and didn't bring the cocktail menu. I was positive my husband would have ordered the trout or a steak. He had a bison taco salad. My stepdaughter would have had the loaded mac n cheese but had the side mac n cheese and an appetizer instead. They had no idea that they were given the wrong menu until they saw that the next table had steaks brought out. We ate out 2 times on a 7 day trip and this was supposed to be a special dinner. Instead it was a letdown as far as some of the service goes and there's really no fixing it. The problem is that the bar menu has the same cover as the restaurant menu but the restaurant menu has an additional page. Maybe they should make it a different color? Also, the menus posted online are not current. There are a few different items and prices are higher.

Loved the cozy decor and fireplace at the entrance. We were seated with only a couple minutes' wait. The restaurant was busy and we only saw two waitresses. We were seated and were not given menus, served water, but had to ask the greeter for menus. No one else gave us any, either. We sat for a while. Finally, a waitress came by to take our drink and food order. She was super sweet and cheerful, which made up for the very long lapses in checking on our table. I sat with an empty beverage for a while. The food was excellent! Although it was pricey, well worth it.

Really cute restaurant with good food, esp considering the remoteness. Pleasantly surprised. Good service. Recommend the trout!
