The place is located inside the entrance to the lobby of the headwaters lodge and cabins itself and is pretty much the only restaurant option for about 10 miles.Given that, the restaurant is exceptionally good even for its remote isolation. I don't know how this place doesn't have a 5 star average! We stopped for lunch on our way south to Jackson from Yellowstone and had such a nice lunch we went back for dinner. The food was incredible. I had a bison burger for lunch and the trout for dinner. Both were amazing. Daniel, our lunch server was absolutely terrific! The location also has gas as well as a nice convenience store and gift shop.

We really loved this place! Great menu choices. Easy to eat vegan or vegetarian. We went back the next morning for the breakfast buffet. This is inside the park. It is currently closed for the winter.Vegetarian options: The veggie burger was great.Parking: Inside the state park.
