The hotel's exterior is tired looking, but the interior was much better. The room was clean & comfortable. There is a evening restaurant on the premises, which is good as there's very little elsewhere to eat. They provide a breakfast to go in a bag on the front counter in the morning. There is a Denny's, which I wouldn't recommend as I got food poisoning after eating there.
We checked in later in the day. After waiting a lengthy time at the desk, for the now absent clerk, as we couldn’t get into our room, then three attempts to get into a room and a room change we finally got into our room. We booked this property as it had a restaurant and bar. When we checked in we were informed the restaurant was closed. This was the cheapest place to stay in Rawlins with the pet, but it was clean, comfortable and quiet. I was traveling alone with my two small children and the women at the reception desk were so kind to me, making sure I had a room that would be the easiest for me to manage with the kids and dog. Yes, it’s old - but my room was very clean, warm and the shower was hot. As I was only passing through, I wasn’t looking for extra amenities like a pool or breakfast or anything.
