Hen & Harvest Eatery is a welcome new addition, situated right by the river with a great riverside view and an outdoor patio. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The kind of eatery you will want to drive a long way just to experience the great setting on the North Platte River, impeccable service, and delicious choices.
The service is amazing, excellent, attentive, friendly, warm, and gracious about minor substitutions. The food is outstanding, excellent, a great find, and "the chefs kiss." Almost all the food is home/scratch made and they locally source a lot of ingredients. Everything that's fried is fried in beef tallow. Portions are generous but not massive, arriving piping hot and made to order.
The creative menu offers great breakfast and lunch items. Highly recommended dishes include the eggs Benny, described as top notch, the cheddar biscuit, the waffle with a tasty crispy crust, the corned beef hash, and the fried rice. The grilled grapefruit, side salad, cinnamon roll, and pop tart are also excellent. The coffee is solid and they provide real deal creamer. It is the best breakfast in a long while.
