The ranch is an absolute place to feel comfortable. The people there are simply great; you feel comfortable from the very first second. Every day is different, and every day offers experiences that you will never forget. The food is great and varied. When you are out and about, you are very well taken care of. The branding season in May is exciting and it is absolutely fascinating to watch the cowboys and also to participate yourself. A dream and absolutely recommended.
This is a real cowboy bar on a real working ranch.
Kara Creek Ranch is everything you've watched in Yellowstone and more. This is not your typical 'dude' ranch in any shape or form, this is true authentic Wyoming ranching.

Kara Creek Ranch offers an authentic Wyoming ranching experience, far from a typical 'dude' ranch. Guests feel comfortable and become part of the ranch from the first second, experiencing unforgettable, different days. The food is great, varied, and described as some of the best home-cooked food with seriously tasty options, including delicious packed lunches.
The ranch is a dream for experienced riders, offering incomparable riding with soft, responsive, and fun horses. Guests can ride at their own pace, independently. The branding season in May and round-up season in October are exciting times. Visitors can watch and participate in cowboys' activities, feeling like wranglers themselves during cattle work like mustering, sorting, and loading.
The people there are simply great. The staff and other guests are warm, helpful, and ready to have a good time, making guests feel like part of the family. Rooms are cozy with a western feel and offer gorgeous views. Evenings can be spent socializing in the saloon with great music entertainment. Kara Creek Ranch is highly recommended for those wanting to live out their Yellowstone dreams.
