Ok, so I’m one of those Mexicans who only barely resemble the rest of my family. I say this because while I look like a pasty-looking old white guy, I grew up eating what I called food - which others call Mexican food. True Mexican food is only vaguely related to mainstream USA based Mexican restaurant food that is better described as Tex-mex.
