It is housed inside the park, it is a convenience, you can be outside before and after dinner watching animals and fantastic sunsets.

We had a lunch in this place.
Since it was off-season, there were not so many people, so we could relax.
Chicken tender was good with reasonable price. Do not order BBQ pork sandwich. It seems overpriced to me and not really good.

Kid-friendliness: In the off-season, you can have large space with kids sheet, so it is good option to stop by.

It's not the greatest food, but you are in a national park a long way away from any fresh food. We showed up right before lunch was over, and they still served us, which was cool. As i talked to the server, i asked him, "What are y'all gonna do with all the leftovers?" He said, "You don't wanna know. It really upsets me though". FYI, they throw all the food away to prepare for the next serving time. Literally, all the unsold food goes in the trash. The people that work there seasonally should get it, at the least, but no, gotta throw it away. So dumb. My first and last time eating here. Xanterra will get no more of my money!

It was my fault for not bringing enough food with me, we’re just not very familiar with the best way to secure your food and didn’t want to do something dumb in the park.

Expensive cafeteria food was what I was expecting. What I was not expecting was hair on my cardboard-esque waffles.

They refunded my waffles, but I’m slightly miffed they didn’t offer to refund everything since hair in any of your food is not great. Either come during the right season or pack food is my advice.

Parking: Open parking, but was here during off-season

Kid-friendliness: My 18 month old did well, but if it’s busy probably not a good idea.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ada accessible

Pretty skippable food, the servers are nice but the other nearby restaurant is 100% better

We stayed at Canyon Lodge near the end of the season. After checking into the hotel, the front desk clerk pointed us to all the dining options at Canyon Lodge. They neglected to tell us that they close almost all of their restaurants two weeks before they will close the lodge. You are stuck with “The Eatery”. This is basically a Howard Johnson’s cafeteria that died in the mid-1980’s. Food is nearly inedible. Overpriced. $60 for 3 small entrees. One being a hot dog. No signs warning you that these restaurants will be closing. Basically, you will be in an overpriced hotel room with microwave cheeseburgers and frozen pizzas if you stay here in October. Plan accordingly.

Food is just average. Same meal menus everyday, would have been nice to see some rotating in and out of a few other options.

Food was edible, but nothing beyond that. Service wasn't very good. It is in the park, so great food is not expected.
