“The huckleberry ice‑cream here is the best in Yellowstone! It has real huckleberries inside and isn’t overly sweet. The hot dog is fantastic too!”

“Lamb lollipops were great starter. Beers were excellent. Gumbo and tofu bowl were both very good. Kids all finished their meals. Prices were very fair - thought they’d be much higher in park. Service was friendly and prompt.”

“I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived around 4:30 pm. There were empty tables. We ordered the bison chopped steak dinner and the chef salad with French dressing. The greens in the salad were fresh and it was loaded with ham, turkey and cheese. The dressing was so good that I asked for another one. The chopped bison steak was tasty and so was the mashed potatoes. The only meh was the green beans. We also ordered a flight of 4 local beers and they were all good. The service could have been better. They forgot the garlic bread with bison dinner and were not very good on refilling water.”

“Fantastic service from staff, let down by poor food and poor room cleanliness. Behind the room and the chest of drawers, and also the lamp cables, were full of dust. Depending on where you are suited, it could be quite noisy.”

I was seated after a short
wait and ordered a Bison
/Elk Burger and a Huckleberry
soda.

The menu has burgers, chili,
sandwiches like pulled pork,
nachos, soup, cheese fries,
and Huckleberry floats.

I received my order in about
ten minutes with no problems.

The Burger had a nice taste
to it, but the bun was not toasted.

I received a small amount of fries the were crispy and not
oversalted.

The Huckleberry soda had a
nice taste to it, and was not
too sweet.

“I wish I could give 10 stars! The Old Faithful Lodge and Cafeteria is fantastic!! We ate there out of convenience/timing with pretty low expectations. Boy were we wrong! We had the Mediterranean hummus and Baba Ganoush and the BBQ Brisket dinner. Both were way better than expected. The baked beans and coleslaw were delicious. The prices were also better than expected. The staff including the front desk, servers, cashiers, and the men and women cleaning the dining area were all pleasant and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about the Old Faithful Lodge and Cafeteria.”

“We read the reviews and knew there is limited seating. So we planned to buy the prepared wrapped sandwiches and sides in the morning, and carry them for our lunch after a walk on the nearby trails. The sandwiches were very good – they seemed fresh, had good flavor, and were at a reasonable cost. The staff was friendly, and the line moved quickly, so, based on our experience, we would rate the Bear Paw Deli highly as a source for prepared food. A reminder, though, to plan ahead for your seating, as there are only a few tables in the deli. If you park in the Old Faithful Inn lot, it’s only a short walk to your car.”

“We really enjoyed our experience here. After doing an early morning trip to the Lamar Valley, on our way back we stopped for breakfast at the Canyon Village Eatery.
There was a variety of items available for breakfast. There were quite a few folks already there for breakfast at around 8:30 AM. But we didn’t have to wait much.
The dining area is big and clean.
We ordered coffee, hot chocolate, French toast and bacon, biscuit gravy - sausage, and potatoes. It was delicious as we expected it to be.”

“Pretty good burger and fries. I like how they have Colorado cola ( try prickly pear cactus soda, it’s fire) and not just the cheap high fructose corn syrup soda as the only option. The staff were nice and it was a good place to eat after a long day traveling the parks.”

“We dinned here in late August and received fantastic service attention, adherence to reservation time (5 PM), and a wide variety of food options. Note- quality of the food was medium (some items on the buffet were super yummy, but salmon overcooked- keep expectations lower), and prices are higher. We appreciated the kids menu as well. The service made up for the food. Shout out to our server from Indonesia and his assistant from Romania.”
