“A normal hotdog, the sausage tastes good, you can add ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. Though it’s expensive, around 11-12USD. Would prefer if the hotdog can pair with salad or potatoes, other than ”
“The atmosphere is fun but it’s very crowded. We did have to wait to be seated. We had 4 adults and 2 kids in our group. We couldn’t even be seated together. We had to be separated. I had a 5 month old baby in a car seat and it was cramped I didn’t have hardly any room to put her car seat anywhere. The food was good though. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it. All the burgers and sandwiches come with fries.”
“Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! We thoroughly enjoyed the crispy duck leg, lentil/quinoa soup, and cream brulee cheesecake. Lots of varieties for kids too! We dined for both breakfast and dinner, and we were impressed! Ian at the front desk is a gem!”
“This cafeteria was the only good food we found inside the park. We walked over after watching Old Faithful erupt and shared a plate with bbq chicken and two sides. The chicken was actually very good- moist and flavorful. The baked beans were okay, and the mac and cheese pretty good. The employees were friendly and helpful. Of all the places we saw/ate at this is the only one we'd return to!”
“Nice lake view restaurant which doesn’t need a restaurant. A very small menu, mostly tacos and some desert/drinks. The tacos tasted good, especially for a place inside the park. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table.”
“All of the food here was really excellent, but some of the portions were a little stingy for the price. We ordered the beef sliders, lobster corn chowder, and truffle fries. The slides were really good, but they were $20 and only included 2. We thought there would be a few more. They are made with wagu beef, but I'm not sure they're worth $10 each. They're pretty tiny. The chowder was good and a good portion. The fries were excellent, but the menu specifically said "sharable sides" for two people, and the small cup was about enough for one person. The next morning I ordered the french toast with turkey sausage and it was all really flavorful. The food deserves 5 stars, but the portions are underwhelming, especially for the price.”
“It's a pretty typical cafeteria style place, but some of the food is really good, and probably one of the better options at Yellowstone considering quality for the price. The burgers are okay, but the chicken burger (it's a crispy chicken sandwich), bison bratwurst, and red pepper and gouda soup are all really good. It's a little pricey for what you get, but the quality is pretty good overall. If you catch it in between snowmobile groups, you can have the place all to yourself and the food will be really fresh and hot. If you go in the middle of one of those groups, the place will be slammed and there will be no place to sit, so that's a downside. The other downside is they're only open for lunch, closing at 3:00, but I recommend it overall.”
“Any tourist to Yellowstone should be fully aware that your primary objective of visiting this incredible place is to experience beauty on display!Finding adequate lodging or food is essential but not affordable. We found that The Mammoth Terrace Grill was a place to get a decent meal for an affordable price (compared to other options in the park). In many ways this is a fast food restaurant where you stand in line to place your order and then wait to receive your food.We shared the turkey sandwich ($13) and chips ($2.35) and a cranberry salad ($8)Overall we did get a fair amount of food at a fair price”
“Place was packed, but the line moves fast. This place is probably packed no matter when you go here, specially, during meal times. The service was really good. I’m sure they’re terribly busy all day long but you wouldn’t know it by how you’re treated.Good basic food like burgers and fries.Amazingly good service considering it’s the only show in town.Plenty of souvenir shopping here as well. If you’re going to pick up stuff to take home like T-shirts or sweatshirts or memorabilia this is the place.Parking: Huge lot for this complex but it’s Yellowstone! You might have to drive around a little bit to find an open spot.”
“Was not real crazy about how you go to the register to order and then stand in line fir your number to be called but it was ok. The view from the dining area is spectacular. I had the Bison brat with chili and cheese and it was good. My wife had the hamburger and it was pretty dry. Would go back mainly for the atmosphere.”
“Food is ok nothing to write home about. It's expensive and could be more fresh and flavorful. My favorite thing was the bison bratwurst. Service wasn't terrible, but it wasn't friendly. I'd say the line was a 10-15 minute wait for lunch.”
“Good atmosphere in this restaurant with authentic decor! We hadn't reserved (I don't know if it's possible) and we waited more than an hour to get our table (there were 7 of us so it's not always easy) but despite that, we we had a good time.”
