When I visited off season and ate here for dinner the only choice they had was eating off the buffet for their captive audience pricing. The buffet had minimal options but most of them were reasonably good. Still, for someone who doesn't pack away a ton of food, especially not meat, it ends up being a terrible value. At least the atmosphere is pleasant.
Came here for breakfast before hiking the Upper Gyser Basin. We arrived around 7 am, so there was no line and the dining room wasn’t crowded. It was a buffet breakfast, with a good number of options to pick from. The food was hot (if it was supposed to be hot) and the line moved quickly through service. When we left, the line to get in was long and I would imagine service would be slower.

Food is ok nothing to write home about. It's expensive and could be more fresh and flavorful. My favorite thing was the bison bratwurst. Service wasn't terrible, but it wasn't friendly. I'd say the line was a 10-15 minute wait for lunch.
