I stayed in September for one night. The room was very small and unfortunately I did not sleep because of a very loud noise in the room. They gave me the invoice with the indicated reimbursement for the damage, but to date the money not arrived , despite the intervention of my travel agency. It is a shame that a prestigious structure has incorrect behaviors.

Beautiful historical hotel located right across the old faithful geyser. This hotel has a spectacular lobby with soaring levels of wood terrace and giant stone fireplace. A wonderful place to hang out in the evening with live music and get a drink. This building is where all the other "lodges" are based on, check out Disney's wilderness lodge at their Florida theme park for a copy, and even the Great Wolf Lodge are heavily inspired by this.

The attached restaurant is very decent for Yellowstone with good buffet style service for breakfast and dinner. Being quite expensive, the food is only acceptable at a major city standard but much, much better than any other place offered by the national park concessionary in the park.

There are 2 types of rooms here, there is the older historical log cabin style room which are very charming but may not have an included bathroom (there are shared bath and showers to use). Then they have the standard hotel room which are very normal with less style but an attached bathroom. If you stay on the east wing, you'll have the option of facing the geyser too.

There are 2 x L2 EV chargers by the cabins (which is not near the hotel) and 1 cabin have an outdoor L1 socket. Due to the # of people staying here and that cabin may be already occupied, DO NOT count on being able to charge your EV here.

Overall, a wonderful historical hotel with a must see lobby, potentially charming rooms or regular rooms, good restaurant for Yellowstone park, located right at the heart of the upper geyser basin.

Noteworthy details: Beautiful Lobby
Located right at the geyser basin

Inn was Way overpriced....but beautiful.. the whole Park needs some real restaurants that have real food not the shit they serve.school cafeteria food was much better!!! They need signage in the inn so you know where you're going 🙃🤔$25 for a $6 drink. If you're going anywhere in this Park bring your own food and drink.... Really there is nowhere to eat anything good... But the Park is awesome beautiful places to see...go here either later in the fall or early in the spring.. couldn't imagine being here in the middle of summer..... there's too many people here in October, either have a camper or a tent ... the hotels aren't for the masses it's really sad that your regular family can't afford to go and see these beautiful Parks because everything's so overpriced... it's just pathetic.☹️😩 Everyone should be able to enjoy the Parks

Rooms: No TV, refrigerator, microwave... internet 🤔

Food and drinks: Forget the restaurant's here

The food was drastically overpriced and mediocre

Rooms: Very small and the HVAC didn't work properly

Food and drinks: Less than average Quality Foods with prices that were 2 to 3 times the average price of food in that area

Not worth the $550.00 rate in October. We had no heat and it was so cold we barely could sleep. It has an old mental institution feel to it. Creepy floors, big wagon full of dirty sheets in the hall, very noisy, and a shower that filled up with water. I complained in the morning and nothing was done. They know they have you trapped. Very disappointing.

Wow!!!! First words out of my mouth once we walked in. We walked into the most amazing warmth and cozy ambiance AND a lady playing the violin! It was like oa outta a dream. Stayed two nights here with my husband and two kids. Highly recommend. It's not a luxury hotel so don't expect that. Could have been a little cleaner but everything else makes up for the lack of housekeeping. It's the perfect location in the park. Everyone was very nice. Had the breakfast buffet in the morning and our server said our kids (13 and 8) both qualified for the kids price which was nice. She said as long as they still look like they love with their parents they get the kids price, which i thought was really cool. Had the most amazing time. Well definitely stay again next time we visit. Not cheap though. $437 a night so stayed two night there and one night at the snow lodge across the parking lot. ***I don't know why people complain about having no TV. You're literally in the most popular, oldest national park. Go outside! Take a walk. Enjoy the lodge.

Spectacular National Park lodge rich in history and architecture. The live music echoing off the piano added charm to the atmosphere.
One minus point was the dining. Unless you make reservations far in advance don’t expect to eat in the restaurant. There are other options in nearby lodges.

Rooms: Very cosy, no private bathroom but it’s a lodge and the shared bathrooms are fine

Nearby activities: Short walk to Old Faithful Geyser

Walkability: Wheelchair accessible and safe

Food and drinks: Snack bar, restaurant and espresso. Need reservations for the restaurant and the espresso bar doesn’t open until late morning.

A beautiful iconic must when visiting Yellowstone Park. Breathtaking historical structure with the hundreds of old burl logs. Fun place to stay at least once if you can afford it. Go in the off season, spring or late fall.

Nearby activities: Old Faithful out the front door. Bison and elk mist always can be seen.

Noteworthy details: Friendly staff, good food and a beautiful dining room looking out to Old Faithful.

I couldn't wait to stay here. It's an awesome location and we had a great view of the geyser from our room window. The historical significance of the hotel is awesome!

But it does not have the regular amenities you'd expect at a modern hotel. No tv, no fridge, and NO WIFI. This caused us a lot of issues because we couldn't plan our trip or days the following days without internet. We also couldn't get a hold of each other when we split up.

We also had an EV and panicked when the charger was dead, but we called the front desk from the hotel phone and they made a few calls to get that going again! Pam was so helpful and they saved us!!

Lastly, their food is all buffet and we got breakfast and it was a terrible buffet for the price. Powdered (textured) eggs, cold tortillas, burnt bacon, no coffee drinks (we had to go order and pay separately at an espresso cart). Dinner buffet was $48 for adults. Who wants fish served at a buffet? ?

I would stay here again, but I'd plan ahead for the WiFi.

We stayed in a rustic room and it was incredible. We had a great view from window and the room was beautiful with wood paneling and historic ambiance. The shared bathrooms were very nice and close enough for quick access. Everything was in pristine condition. We did have issues getting housekeeping services and you do have to specifically request your trash be taken out and towels and other items (cups, tissues) replenished separate from requesting house keeping. Even with that issue, it is my favorite hotel experience. The issues we experienced pale in comparison to the character and atmosphere of our room and the hotel as a whole.

Food and drinks: They offer complimentary coffee in am and have a dining room that serves buffet and requires reservations. The food was good, but expensive. There are tables on the second and 3rd floor of the lobby and the viewing deck where you can eat your own food and you can bring your cooler to your room. We did pb & j sandwiches here afew times.

We didn't actually stay, just a visit. I've been many times. I eventually would like to stay, but just looking at it is amazing! And a perfect place to watch Old Faithful go off!

Absolutely amazing experience staying in such a historic and beautiful Inn.

Watching Old Faithful erupt from either the observation deck or right from our room’s window was very cool.

The room itself was also great. We chose to stay in one of the oldest rooms in the original wing and could feel the history everywhere. The room was very cozy and provided for a great nights rest.

The fireplace provides an excellent centerpiece for the lobby experience and my wife and I loved having an evening drink from the third level over look.

We undoubtedly will be back again
