Didn't realize Earls was gone but went in anyway. Ordered starter kale caesar and elk bolognese.Salad was over dressed and soggy on bottom. I also suggest using bigger bowls as when you stab a piece of kale half the bowl wants to fall out.The bolognese was rather oily. Giving someone a piece of garlic bread would be nice too.The food wasn't horrible, but for the price point, I would expect better.
I had the fish and chips for lunch. The fish was Ling Cod, one of my favourites. The batter was suitably thin, the fries were wonderfully fresh. I also had a Haskap Mojito....simply delicious. I will definitely return.
Great night out. Polite and helpful staff… great food.My only complaint would be that the Elk “smash burger” was just a regular burger. Smash burger has a specific expecof a flat, crispy edged burger with onions grilled and carmalized into it. This was just a burger. It was good but not what I was expecting.Other than this great food and atmosphere!
