“We made a reservation and were greeted warmly and walked to our table right on time. The server was also prompt and very sweet. The food was outstanding - we absolutely want to go back and try everything. The spicy hummus is to die for, the muttabal was rich and smoky, and the shakshoukah was accompanied with delicious sourdough so we got to try everything with both pita and excellent local bread. I had a Rose wine from Lebanon that was delicious and earthy, not overly sweet. The tahini chocolate chip cookie and pistachio baklava were exquisite. Overall a fantastic experience and they're representing the top tier delicacies of the Levant without having to travel thousands of miles!“

“I ordered lunch from here for the team and I today and Luis- a really friendly fellow w great customer service helped place my phone order. Their work phone was not working so he called me himself and placed my big lunch order. He was so patient and made sure the order was correct before hanging up, he also gave us lots of white sauce for our order. Thank you so much for the yummy food and awesome customer service!“

“It was terrible. From the time we walked in it was like what are you doing here. It took them forever to bring a menu & even water it was as if they didn't want us there. Then the waitress trick us to order this meal for 2 people which cost us almost $80. which we split the bill. The manager didn't help at all because we call her to the table. We were the only black people in the place.“

“We arrived on the late side for a Sunday night, but the gracious ladies quickly seated us and brought the menus. We all decided on the kebab plates: 1 chicken, 1 lamb, and 1 salmon! All were cooked to perfection and served quickly. We did decide to add a half order of humus, as well!“

“This spot was on point. I'm a difficult customer. I didn't know what I wanted. Yammel was so awesome. She answered my dozen of questions and put together a dinner for my husband and I that was healthy, filling, and delicious. I did take out. I ordered the family style dinner but I got beef kebab and steak instead of chicken for a bit of a charge. We also ordered the appetizer platter and tiramisu for desert. The sides of salad and pita, and everything that came with these meals will give us about three nights of Dinner. Ordering DoorDash or Uber Eats is becoming ridiculous. You pay $15-$20 in fees. So that's why I came in to order take out. So about 80 bucks we'll eat 3 nights. We would easily drop that on one dinner if we went out. Prices are just insane lately. “You will not find better service than when you enter Borjstar. Honestly, they treat you like a star. They are attentive and incredibly kind, friendly, and accommodating. The food is just as great. Very flavorful and leaves you wanting more! They also have a yogurt/ice cream dispenser so you can treat yourself before/after your meal. Put Borjstar on your list of restaurants to visit in the Gardena/South Bay area. You won't regret it!“

“Their grilled vegetables are snapping! Love their green sauce (not the Mexican one and I think it’s called chimichurri or something like that), it goes really well with the grilled chicken and vegetables we ordered. Love the hummus and yogurt, salad and the dressing. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. The owner/chief who was with us patiently help us out with the choices for the bowl and very passionate about delivering friendly service. Definitely will visit again! “I tried this place for lunch today. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. The menu has good variety and the prices were reasonable. I ordered a shaved beef and lamb wrap, which was delicious! The serving size was a footlong size, so I brought home half for another meal. I will definitely go back again.“

What I ordered: Gygo plate - 10/10. It comes with rice, salad, hummus, and pita bread. I don't think you can change the sides. Spicy lemon garlic whole chicken - 8/10. I should have paid extra for all dark meat because the white meat was so DRY. The sauce is my favorite. Sides: Orginal hummus - 10/10, so good. Spicy hummus - 8/10, a bit sour. Pita bread - 10/10, so soft! Side salad - 7/10, nothing special Regular potato salad - 1/10. I was SO DISAPPOINTED! I even a large side of this order. It was so so SOUR, too sour! I love lemon flavor, but this was overwhelming sour. Is this how it's supposed to taste??? Is the spicy garlic potato Salas sour as well? It went straight to the trash. I feel so bad. Garlic sauce 10/10. I paid extra for these and it's the best thing ever! Falafel- 5/10. I've had better elsewhere. The flavor was lacking and it seemed salty.“

“Tabouli salad varies greatly from vendor to vendor. This one at the Kabob Shop seems perfection to me! Just the right ratio of parsley, onion, grain, and lemon. Mmmm!And the chickpea salad is right next to it in perfection.Both perfect paring with the saffron chicken kabob“

“This is one of my favorite Mediterranean food spots to go to in the LA / OC area. My go to order is the chicken kebab plate with hummus and the Mediterranean salad. I always make sure to order extra garlic sauce and the red hot sauce, a must if you like spicy. The chicken here is the juiciest. I have tried different places in little Arabia in Anaheim but this place has my favorite kebab chicken. The rice is fluffy, and the salad is fresh, all a perfect combination with the juicy chicken and the savory hummus. This ambience is more of a hole in the wall, so don't expect an extravagant aesthetic. This is a great spot for family or an informal date or hang out. They have seating in the inside and at the outside. Parking is accessible too. Sometimes the wait time can get a bit long, especially during meal times, but I think it's worth the wait for really good, fresh and juicy food. You can always call and place your order too. One plus is that this is located right in front of the Cerritos mall so you could do some shopping and get food before or after that.“

“I'll be honest, salad is never my go-to meal, but after trying their Mashawi Salad, it was taste at first bite! Chicken, romaine lettuce, rice, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, sesame seeds, parmesean cheese, and pita chips all tossed in their house dressing is an incredible combination. You also get warm pita bread with this yummy garlic spread on the side. Put all those ingredients in the pita bread, oh man, another level! Their combo plate with rice, chicken & steak kebob, hummus, and garlic fries was needless to say, delicious! Friendly staff as well! Get yourself a plate!“
