“We have eaten here twice, once dine-in and later, take-out. The delivery was faster than they promised online, and the food was hot. I can say without qualification that I have never had better Thai in three decades of trying. The flavors in each dish are vibrant and sometimes surprising ... it's an experience I expect at a Michelin starred restaurant, but from takeout. Wtf.“

“I love the Oak Park bakery and everyone that works there! It's always a breeze to pick up a treat on my way home and the prices are very reasonable. This will always be my go-to bakery for both the quality of the food and the wonderful service.“

“The food was really delicious and it is a big plus being able to get healthy, vegan choices that taste good. Everything we had was amazing!! I so recommend it if you want to eat healthy or just introduce yourself to healthy choices. Our server also was so nice!“

“Delicious pastries!!! Loved everything I ordered. There are a few seats inside, but it's more like a takeaway spot, so I would not expect to come here and hunker down with work/studying, or to meet up with a larger group. It seems they use quality/fresh ingredients and clearly the pastry chef knows what they are doing, but the prices were jawdropping. If you want a really good pastry and don't mind shelling out $$$$ for it, I'd recommend this place. But if you're looking for a neighborhood spot that is affordable enough for everyday/regular coffee and pastries, this is probably not the place. As for parking, there are a few metered parking lots nearby, but can be challenging to find a spot on the weekend.“

“I did not feel like cooking breakfast this morning so I decided to order a breakfast burrito from here and it was delicious! The burrito was full of all the healthy good stuff. Scrambled eggs, red peppers, mixed greens, avocado and black beans all wrapped in a flour tortilla. The burrito came with a side of home fries (potatoes). You can get the salsas, the green one and orange one with a little kick and they both complement the burrito and add such flavor. I truly enjoyed it. It was the perfect size and quite filling, especially adding the side of potatoes. I've passed this bakery so many times and you notice it because it's so colorful and put you in the mind of an ice cream shop because the outside is so colorful. I want to try other items on the menu because their breakfast burrito was really good.“

“The food at Little Gem Cafe is always so good. The service is great even though they are always super crowded. Stuffed pork chop with Brussel sprouts, so awesome! Fun little joint with usually some jazz playing in the background. Thumbs up!“

“I have not eaten here in years. Decided to order a pizza for my birthday for my family. The dough at the bottom was so thick it took away from the delicious tasting sauce and cheese and sausage. This was a regular pizza I thought it would not be that thick. Probably should have ordered thin crust.“

“Bloom has become my favorite place to grab brunch in Wicker Park on Sundays! Stunning atmosphere, incredibly thoughtful, kind, attentive staff, and the food consistently blows me away! This weekend I went with a friend and we shared their Avocado Toast special which was an easy 10/10. Their Caesar Salad is always a must (and a tasty way to sneak in greens with brunch). The star of the show for me is always the Tempeh Ranchero Omelette - it nearly brings me to tears every single time (it's that GREAT)!! It was nearly 70 degrees outside and we sat right in the window with them open and it was glorious. If you're looking for a great spot for a girl's brunch, date night, or foodie spot in Chicago, this is an absolute MUST!“

“Fantastic pizza. Best I’ve had outside of Italy. You can literally taste the freshness in the ingredients! It looks like these folks don’t cut any corners. The burrata is unreal, I’m practically drooling writing this. Please order the burrata if you go.“

“The Okonomiyaki and the Chili Crunch Chicken and Dumplings both highlighted the restaurant's Asian influences. The Okonomiyaki was super fluffy and rich - it remains my favorite Okinomiyaki in Chicago. I loved the broth and textures of the chicken and dumplings, though I also felt like it needed more chili crunch. I also loved the new location - though smaller than the West Loop restaurant, it has fun diner vibe.“

“Wow. The final restaurant in our food tour. What a way to end. My wife and I were given a gift certificate from our daughter and husband when they heard we were going to Chicago. What a fantastic choice. The restaurant has a wonderful vibe with both inside and outside dining options. The menu is made up of tasting portions so feel free to explore. The complexities of textures and flavors that we got from these dishes were spectacular. We started with chickpea fritters, which was the perfect melding of the chili heat and coolness from the cucumber yogurt. We also got the goat empanadas which were screaming with flavor. We added to that the roasted pig face which was incredibly flavorful. The star of the show was the crispy short rib. It was a mouthgasm. Our dessert of hazelnut praline sundae was the perfect way to end this culinary excursion with its abundance of flavors.“

“Really good ice cream. Me and friends went here today since everything was closed and we thought this place would be mid. But, man this ice cream really is good. I would say it’s even on par with basking robins or prolly even way better than that. I would recommend the dark cherry and coconut scoops which was recommended to me by one of the employees. Also, I gotta say this is also the only place in Chicago that is very hospitable and service is amazing. The employees gave us many flavors to try before proceeding with our order.Vegetarian options: Vegan marshmallows“

“Eden, located in Chicago, provided a delightful dining experience for my first visit. Arriving late allowed us to secure a table swiftly. I indulged in a couple of dirty martinis to kickstart the evening, accompanied by the exquisite wagyu tartare, which left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied. For the main course, I opted for the crab bucatini, savoring each delectable bite, while my companion thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful chicken dish. The service was exemplary, and the restaurant exuded cleanliness, with the added luxury of real hand towels in the bathrooms, a detail not often found. The ambiance, with its well-thought-out lighting and decor, further elevated the experience. Overall, Eden offered a memorable dining venture, leaving me eager to return for another culinary adventure.“

“Great small bakery. The options may be limited but the quality is high. Follow their Instagram to keep a close eye on their inventory as I hear they typically sell out quick (only so much product can be made for a day's sales).I guess they are known for their Tahini cookies. I've had several items from their menu and I would recommend fulfill your sweet tooth here.First thing I ate were the peanut butter cookies, and boy did it have peanut butter in it - grab a drink to help wash it down! The bakery takes pride in their baked goods and it is well worth their hard work.“

“I was parking and saw a crowd of people hovering around a storefront like they were waiting for doors to open for the Nordstrom Semi Annual Sale! Thus, I had to walk over and see what all the fuss was about. Tons of people were waiting outside in the cold for pastries. I looked at the menu on the window and noticed all the pastries are gluten free and they have a large selection of vegan options! There were so many vegan options that I bared the cold trying to make a decision. I settled on the vegan brownie. The staff were all friendly and processed orders quickly. While walking, I tasted a piece of the vegan brownie. It was simply, AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back and try other vegan pastry options.“

“An absolute MUST VISIT for any vegan/vegetarian visiting Chicago. This joint is a thriving institution for a reason: the BEST food served by the friendliest staff in the most casual vibe. My biggest issue is trying to decide what to get because I want everything. Portions are generous and everything tasty. Favorites include the Mexican Scrambled tofu bowl (spicy and savory and bursting with flavor), the Reuben (all the salt and chew you miss from when you ate meat), the biscuits and gravy, and of course the milkshakes. You’ll want to come with friends so you can share and sample more items.Vegetarian options: 100% vegan and their kitchen is nut free (though not their desserts).“

“TL;DR - If you’re even slightly thinking about coming here, just do it. Revolution has the best beer in the city, fantastic food, and incredible staff.A lot of breweries in Chicago excel in making their one or two specialty styles of beer, and that’s it. Revolution, on the other hand, is able to guarantee high quality and incredibly drinkable beer across just about every style you can think of. I normally hate those dark, boozy, 15+% ABV beers, yet I drink every single one that Rev puts out and I love it. Their “Hero”-series IPAs will make even the biggest IPA hater second guess their hatred. And their sours (usually released during the summer) are so good, you will question how something this good can be alcoholic. Revolution doesn’t put out a beer that isn’t incredible, so you can pick a beer at random and be sure to enjoy it.Recently, the Brewpub renovated their space and, with it, re-did a lot of their menu. The space is cozy, yet upscale (the seating is significantly comfier than it once was with new plush seating). The new food is also really high quality - much higher than you would expect from a brewery. A lot of detail is put into plating and presentation (Mushrooms & Tofu, for example, looks like a piece of art), and still it tastes somehow even better than it looks. In addition to more upscale menu items, you’re also able to get a lot of that “typical” bar food here that fully delivers (pretzel, cheese curds, fries, etc.). The only gripe I could possibly have here is on the pricing of some of the food. This does not apply to the whole menu though, just some items that feel like they are priced higher than they should be (e.g. Lion’s Mane mushrooms, a starter, costs the same as the Mushrooms & Tofu, an entree, despite being significantly less food and sharing some similar ingredients. Why?!). If you can view this less as a bar and more like a nicer restaurant (which, with the renovation completed, is easy to do), then the pricing is a lot more palatable. The ambiance, food, and drinks are all great, but it’s the staff at Revolution that keeps me coming back though. They’re all so friendly, personable, passionate, and professional - they are the kind of people that make your night out feel special. My fiancé and I have celebrated birthdays, engagements, job offers, anniversaries, and so much more here because of how wonderful the staff are in celebrating and creating such a fun environment to be in. They make Revolution a place we want to go whenever we want to have a good time out. There are just too many people to name (Magnolia, Drake, Erwin, Makenna, Amy, Matt, just to name a few) - but rest assured that we love just about everyone who has served us here. So much so, that my fiancé and I are getting married here later this year! This is the easiest 5 stars I have ever handed out. I have so little to say about places that are “meh”, so the length of this review should show how much I love it here. I’ve come here at least every week for the last 2+ years, and I don’t have any intention of slowing down anytime soon. If you’re still reading this, please stop reading and start drinking, and do it at the Brewpub! You won’t regret it!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options here. Standouts include the veggie burger (vegan by default), Mushrooms & Tofu (vegan), and a delicious pretzel with beer cheese (vegetarian and oh so good).“

“Love the handy drive-thru. Also love the wheat free options like chocolate chip cookies, biscuit that can substitute some for bread on sandwiches, and other pastries. Lots of pastries. LOVE the scones. Vegetarian options are tasty. Had the Rubén sandwich yesterday and it was awesome. Also love the mission of the facility. Staffed by residents of Misericordia's homes. “Super fun joint. A lot of good vibes and reasons to hang around. The food, overall, was tasty, but the pizza left some to be desired. You can tell they put great care and detail into every decision. The pizza just didn't do it for me. Could've been the bold claim of "best cheese pizza in Chicago." I appreciate the bravado, but unfortunately, it came with little fanfare.“

“Stopped in for Saturday brunch. Was seated after a short wait. Everything was wonderful… the food was excellent (crazy delicious lemon raspberry brioche French toast), attentive service, and very reasonable prices. Looking forward to going back (want to try the breakfast bread pudding)! I took one star off atmosphere for a bit of noise (acoustics), but it didn’t detract from the overall experience.Parking: Metered street parking“

“This may be my new favourite restaurant in Chicagoland — an opinion shared by my family. We enjoyed stellar food. Even by non-vegetarian standards. The Tom Kha soup and spicy eggplant (which also tastes great mild) are fantastic. The curry we tried was also very good. The soy “chicken” has excellent texture and flavour, whether soft or battered. One plate per person is a reasonable serving size.Dietary restrictions: Vegan“

“Food: amazing. Drinks: amazing. Service: amazing. Ambiance: amazing. Really though. The wings are huge so you’re actually getting your money’s worth for once. Pizza is fantastic (think cheese-pull) and their selection of beers seltzers and ciders is impressive for a place this size! Our server, Shawn, was so attentive and covered all the menus for us! Even recommended adding chorizo to their poblano corn dip, which was a total game changer. 100% worth a stop in if you haven’t been yet! Sit by their fireplace!“

“This BBQ place is a gem in Chicago, the brisket was tender, well sliced and neatly plated with the rest of the sides. The slaw was a nice free side that I need the recipe for, slaw gets a lot of hate but this was pretty good. Pleasantly surprised we found this place and will definitely go again.“

“Amazing customer service, and delicious treats ! I had a corporate event, and we wanted some light sweets for the occasion. “I went there craving for something sweet after 6 PM on Friday. Ordered a chocolate brioche, a coconut chocolate chip caramel cookie and a chocolate cookie. Everything seemed to be freshly baked, unexpectedly heavy, and full of filling, so it took the two of us three days to consume this good stuff. And I never had an issue with a lack of appetite.I personally prefer less sweet options, but these cookies are not as sweet as traditional American staples, and I appreciate that. If you want a cookie so packed with stuff it becomes a bit overpowering, the coconut one is a good choice. Not complaining though. It fed the two of us.Brioche was a bit too thick for my taste, but it was also good. The service that I experienced is what I assume to be typical for Chicago: slightly poker-faced and nonchalant but not rude or anything like that.I would give this bakery another try for the items that I haven’t eaten yet.“

“Visiting from Indiana for training and decided to get Greek for dinner.....man o man o man.....was this a fantastic choice! When I pulled up, it was free valet parking and I was a little confused because I didn't anticipate it being that type of fine dining experience but I was wrong. We arrived at 6ish on Tuesday and let me say we beat the crowd. Within 20 minutes of our arrival, there was a wait for seating. As an appetizer we ordered the Flaming Cheese (Saganaki) And it was phenomenal. They automatically give you a platter of toasted bread and it was the perfect accompaniment.I ordered the chicken kebab meal which came with a soup and my choice of side. I chose the lemon chicken soup and greek potatoes...my tummy was in agreement with my choices. My friend ordered the Moussuka and it was a large portion that also came with soup and choice of side...she chose the mixed veggies and they were truly delicious. We tried the dandelion greens because neither of us had had them before. They weren't my fav but my friend loved them. This was simply a matter of preference nothing more nothing less.My friend got a baklava to go because we were too full for dessert at that moment. The portions are healthy, service was top notch and the food was obviously quality ingredients. There is something for everyone on this menu!“

“I usually order for takeout and they don't disappoint. Their meat sampler is very tasty and sambusa is included too. I had sides of vegetables for the meat sampler. The meat is soft and tender as it was slow cooked and boiled egg added in my meal. It has a spice to it which generally complimented with the injera and meat. I've tried their tea as well and their dessert. I definitely would recommend this place.“

“OH MY GOD THIS PLACE MAKES HEAVEN. My favorites: - any of the savory meat croissants - egg sandwich - any of the meat strombolis - salted caramel donut - gingersnap molasses cookie - twice-baked almond croissant - vegan dark chocolate banana bread with pecans - Two falls ago there was this amazing apple cider bearclaw donut thing. I haven't seen it since in the pastry case, but I can still taste its awesomeness in my mouth and hope it will one day return. Everything here is so moist and magical. For me, what sets Mindy's Bakery apart from other bakeries, and makes it clear why Mindy won the Beard award for Outstanding Chef in the US, is that Mindy and crew are always working to improve their craft, always using quality ingredients and making better versions of things all the time and I respect this so much. Also, when you come in through the door, you can see everyone behind the counter, working hard, baking during open hours, and helping you pick things out of the big case in front. They are awesome. If you're from out of town, know there's rarely a line out the door on Wed, Thurs or Fri, but Sat and Sun are busy, so do what I do and bring your kindle or paper to read while you wait in line. It is always worth the wait.“

“The service was good! They were nice and very helpful with guiding you where drinks, napkins, and utensils were without you asking. It was helpful. I ordered a criossant, carrot cake, and a coffee. Criossant was on the crunchy side inside and out. If you like that then that's it, but for me, I prefer a crunchy from outside and soft on inside, but not bad. Drink was a vanilla latte, and it was good because it was not too sweet. The carrot cake, the presentation was nice! Taste of the cake could've been better, but the cream of the cake made it worth having! Lastly, I want to say this definitely is a great spot for a date quiet enough to talk without too loud and music level perfect! :) I'd return to try other pastries and drinks next time!“
