Ginger's Revenge Brewery • $
829 Riverside Dr #100, Asheville

“Hands down the best beer I've ever had. I've only been able to find the brand in my area at Whole Foods and Total Wine. I've also had the original on tap from Bottles & Cans Beer and Wine Shop in Cary, NC. I'm in love with Ginger's Revenge Cranberry Herb beer. I've tried other flavors (hibiscus lavender, original, and lime agave) which are all very good but the Cranberry Herb is my top pick. This alcoholic ginger beer is a game-changer! The naturally gluten-free and the 95% organic ingredients are all the things I have never found for any regular beer brands. Ginger's Revenge is a yes for me!“

DSSOLVR Brewery • $

“I had really high expectations for this brewery after doing an enormous amount of research. The space itself was neat and being downtown was cool. I liked that they had pinball too. But the beers I was expecting elite and I just didn’t feel that way. We tried 7 beers between two of us and the only one I thought was outstanding was one of the Hazys. I will try again next time I’m in town but I won’t prioritize it like I did this time“

Diatribe Brewing Co. Brewery •
1042 Haywood Rd, Asheville

“The execution of each beer was really good, and if I was just rating on their ability to craft an excellent beer I would give a 5. The brewery itself is nice and clean but not special. There are t much offerings from a food standpoint, and the menus itself isn’t huge. I enjoyed every beer I had, but not enough to rate this similarly to other places in the area with similar quality beers but more interesting surroundings“

New Belgium Brewing Company Brewery • $
21 Craven St, Asheville

“Probably the best brewery experience I've had in 20 years of craft beer tourism. They make great beers and they treat you right, because the people who run it are treated right. This is a great space to relax and talk with friends or make more. Food trucks, indoor and outdoor seating with fire pits, wine and non-alcoholic options, and super friendly service in a beautiful setting. If you don't visit here when in the area, you don't like beer.“

“A really beautiful brewery taproom. So many plants give it a very peaceful feeling. The tables are gorgeous too. I talked to Jeff, who maybe was also a brewer? He was very knowledgeable and very fun to chat with. It was probably our most “personal” convo I had at the 15+ breweries in this trip. The beers were good too. Some really interesting things with Nitro. I highly recommend going by and keeping an open mind“

New Origin Brewing Company Brewery • $$

“Great stop! They have a parking lot (Yay!) and street parking. The beer garden looked inviting, but we sat inside to chat up our bartender. I didn't catch her name, but she said she worked the bar infrequently. That was our good fortune. We enjoyed our beers and the conversation we had with another couple. Definitely a stop to make if you're in the area!“

Salt Face Mule Brewing Co. Brewery • $$

“My wife and I met here for a going away party for a friend. The place is large with indoor and outdoor seating with a mini-golf course behind it. Good variety of selection on beer types and about 12-15 of them. The breakfast sandwich was a home run... like completely surprised us both for a brewpub... we were there during brunch, so she was able to get brunch and me lunch (think brunch ends at 3:30 Saturdays/Sundays). She had the breakfast sandwich, which was a monster and was a very good value. The sandwich was satisfying and so flavorful, especially with whatever sauce that was. The home fries were ordered extra crispy, and they came out perfectly crispy and not burnt or greasey.I am a sucker for shrimp and grits, so I usually get it if I see it on a menu. The shrimp were cleaned first off so they did that right and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. The sausage was still juicy and flavorful. The grits were cooked well but honestly, it didn't taste much of cheddar and noticed barely any jalapeno. The sauce was supposed to be garlicky cajun cream sauce. I got the garlic and cream but no cajun spice, and overall it needed some salt and pepper because of that lack of heat.Overall it was a great brunch spot with a tasty large breakfast sandwich and crispy home fries; but mediocre shrimp and grits. Beer selection is good.8.5/10“

White Labs Brewing Co - Asheville Kitchen & Tap Brewery • $$

“Several of us came in for lunch... the wait was ridiculous, considering there was only one party (consisting of 3 people) in front of us, but they had a bunch of questions, even though the menu is rather simple. The person taking orders took his time with that group, while the line grew longer. It's nice that he took the time to answer their questions, but he probably should have called someone else over to take orders while he chatted with them. The wait was about 10 minutes for this. The place is nice looking and filled with seating, inside and out. The menu is simple, mainly pizzas and handhelds. The staff is friendly and our food came out promptly. My burger was pretty good as well. Aside from the ridiculous wait, the rest of the lunch went perfectly. I'd return.“

Dirty Jack’s Brewery •

23 Buxton Ave, Asheville

“This is likely our favorite brewery in Asheville! We have a wonderful experience every time we visit which is unfortunately every few years, but always worth the wait. We stopped in last Monday afternoon and were welcomed immediately, the bartender from Denver who I unfortunately didn’t get his name was one of the nicest people we’ve met in a long time. We stayed longer than anticipated because we were having such an enjoyable time with great beers! Their tap list ranges from basic lagers to breakfast porters and many things in between. They have some beer options to go in this location, for merchandise we went next door to the main Green Man brewery. You can’t beat the vibe here at Dirty Jacks though, can’t wait until we can visit again!“

“We loved this little place! We were visiting the area from Michigan. Sat outside our first night. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was amazing. We had fried oysters and a crab cake to start. So fresh and flavorful. Fish and chips and the shrimp and crab salad were perfect. The fries are seasoned so good. Drinks were good, were not beer drinkers. Our second night we went back for fried oysters and fries, had to have another crab cake too! We were greeted like locals with a warm hello and what did you do today. The Margarita and the Pain Killer were soooo good! They overheard us mention it was our anniversary and a piece of their homemade key lime pie was suddenly on the table. Amazing! Best I’ve ever had. Wish we could go back more often but will definitely search it out if get back down this way again.“
