“Taylor Casper has been trying to keep my old heating andac unit running for the last couple of years and has done a great job. However. This year the unit was on its last legs. I had no choice but to replace the heating/account unit. Taylor came back out and gave me a great price for the replacement unit. Thank you Taylor. Hopefully this will last another 15 years .“

I’m the kind of girl who spends decades dreaming about the best breakfast sandwiches she’s ever had. And let me tell you something about Union Specials signature breakfast sandwich. A hashbrown on the sandwich!!! The perfect cheese!! The perfect fluffy bread. Yall. I love a wide range of breakfast sandwiches and union specials has become one of my cornerstones. And beyond the breakfast sandwich, the coffee? Perfect. Orange juice? Perfect. Pancake special? Perfect. No notes. Never misses. (Accidentally deleted my review so reposting)“

Well that worked out extremely in my favor cause my lavender lemonade slushie was AMAZING!!! It was perfect! And just right for the heat. Not too sweet. Very mellow lavender flavor. Refreshing. Everyone was asking me what I was drinking. I was even thinking about it the next day. Highly recommend! I will be going to the Farmer's Market to get more and try new flavors.“

Café 3000 Cafe • $
3000 New Bern Ave, Raleigh

“The best hospital food I've ever had. I know that's not saying much since the hospital food stereotype is not good, but Café3000 is really different compared to some of the other more generic ones I have visited. They have a Bores Head theme deli where you can make some great sandwiches. The hot grill section is always serving great food cooked fresh in front of you while you wait in line. I suggest the pancakes for breakfast, they are the bomb dot com! If you find yourself at the open grill for lunch or dinner, I would suggest the hot dogs (A.T.W. of Course)!, and every day is a different theme for mainly the employees but serves everyone. I really enjoy Chick-fil-A day, nothing g beats being in a hospital for respiratory failure and your wife is able to bring you a chicken sandwich with some Chick-fil-A sauce and one of their catering brownies! Thanks Café3000 for making my stays in the hospital feel a little more at home!P.S. If you actually read all this thanks and I am not sure if I used the correct spelling or not with the word course in my piece so I flipped a coin and it landed on heads so I went with the "U" instead of the "A" lol.“

Marbles Cafe Cafe • $
201 E Hargett St, Raleigh

“Updating my review as Marbles has continued to remain awesome as my soon gets older. First off it is very affordable to visit for the day, especially compared to some other spots in the area. I still love all the variety you could go on a Saturday and go back on Sunday and do completely different things. The new updated water play area is a great addition. My son still loves spending time at the train table (although kids keep accidentally stealing trains), our next biggest hit is the electricity room upstairs. The lego wall is a big hit as is their painting wall. The technology in their travel drawing room still impresses me everytime too. When the weather cooperates the garden in the back is great as is the front music/sand area. We go on the weekend and either try for street parking or park in the city deck right across the street.“

“A Local Secret - definitely a Mom n' Pop shop but has the best breakfast in Raleigh. The staff is always helpful and breakfast always comes out hot. Make sure to always finish your plate or you may get some light ribbing from the lovely owner! It's a small shop, so seats can fill up easily, probably not suited for very large groups, but I'm sure they staff would try their best.“

Galaxy Fun Park Cafe • $$
14460 New Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh

“My visit to Galaxy Fun Park left me and my family beaming with excitement and satisfaction. As a parent organizing a birthday party for my children, I was initially overwhelmed by the plethora of attractions this indoor amusement park offers. However, from the moment we arrived, it became clear that this was going to be an unforgettable experience.Galaxy Fun Park boasts an impressive array of activities, each designed to cater to various interests and age groups. From the exhilarating trampoline park spanning 10,000 square feet to the thrilling go-kart track and the challenging two-story ropes course with a zipline skyrail, there's something for everyone here. The addition of features like the Bag Jump, Dunk Zone, and Dodgeball courts only added to the excitement, ensuring that guests were thoroughly entertained throughout the day.Despite the abundance of attractions, our experience was far from chaotic. Much credit goes to the birthday party coordinator assigned to us, who proved to be a true asset in ensuring everything ran smoothly. From the outset, she was approachable, competent, and attentive to our needs. Any concerns or queries we had were promptly addressed, putting our minds at ease and allowing us to fully enjoy the festivities. What stood out most about our experience was the professionalism and patience exhibited by our coordinator. Despite the inevitable energy and excitement of a children's birthday party, she remained composed and organized, ensuring that each activity proceeded seamlessly. Her dedication to ensuring that both my children and our guests had the time of their lives was evident throughout, making her a standout member of the Galaxy Fun Park team. Thanks to the efforts of our coordinator, the birthday party surpassed all expectations, leaving a lasting impression on both my children and their friends. The memories created during our time at Galaxy Fun Park will be cherished for years to come, and I have no hesitation in recommending this venue to anyone seeking a fun-filled and well-organized event.“

The pizza was perfectly fresh baked, with a crispy crust. Each slice was perfectly balanced with toppings and cheese, leaving us craving for more. The Caesar salad was equally delicious. What truly sets Pullen Cafe apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our celebration was taken care of. “Surprisingly reasonably priced, excellent quality food that was both kid-friendly and adult-friendly. It's simple fare- soups, wraps, and sandwiches, mostly, but all very good. There were also plenty of vegetarian options and while I didn't check, I presume also some gluten-free. The coffee bar was solid, and there were even some local brews. All in all, I was super impressed and so were the kids.Vegetarian options: I didn't look closely at the vegetarian menu, but it was a solid 1/4 of the menu.Kid-friendliness: There were 5-6 separate kids menu options (standards like grilled cheese, hot dog, burger, chicken tenders, etc), all of which looked to be good quality.“
