“What a great little spot food was yummy we had the clams in the garlic sauce to start which was nicely cooked. I then had the grilled swordfish which was juicy and yummy. Very chill environment with a pleasant and accommodating staff. Read online the ownership changed recently and wish them the best of luck the only downside was parking but one of the joys of Kearny unfortunately.“

“1st time customers. We ordered from Uber Eats ordered BBQ Chicken, beef, pork ribs and sausage with beans and rice, Maduro, and garlic shrimp also tres Leche....the portions amazing for the price the meats juicy!!!! Will be ordering again!!!!“

Orlando, the restaurant owner, is a true gentleman; genial and always welcoming. The menu provides unbelievable fare, Saturday especially with feijoada, traditional Brazilian rice and beans experience. I truly wonderful restaurant in our renaissance city of Newark, New Jersey. “I recently had the pleasure of dining at Envy Bar and Grille and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The blend of Portuguese and American cuisine on the menu was both unique and delicious. The flavors were a perfect marriage of both cultures.The ambiance of the restaurant was also a standout feature. The cool artwork around the space added a trendy and modern vibe. It was a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.I also want to give a shoutout to our waitress who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.Overall, I highly recommend Envy Bar and Grille for anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Newark. The food, atmosphere, and service all exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be returning in the future.Parking: No parking lot for the restaurant. Need to find street parking which depending on the day and time you go -is not a problem.“

“Was here in on a mini vacation and was recommended to this place . As I woman that works in the food industry this pace was really good !!! They were busy but got our food out in a good quality time . Garlic shrimp was amazing !!! Dave the sauce for dipping your bread and even adding your rice for a nice twist !!! Will def come back ! Staff was friendly . And it’s a byob which makes it great as I’m on a budget with travel . Thank you guys !!!“

“Always a great breakfast and coffee. Ladies that serve you are a pleasure. And you can't get better than there molete rolls. Absolutely fabulous...I dined in.and took a half dozen rolls to go!!Parking: If your patient. And want to drive around a few blocks. You can always get a spot. Just don't mind walking sometimes.“

“Been coming by this place since I’ve been of age. It’s a personal family favorite: I recommend picking up a couple of buckets (large drinks ) here before heading out anywhere. Also a cute place to just lay low and have a delicious meal and cocktail.“

“I met a couple of my old coworkers there December 20th after 4 years. I wanted to go to a highly rated family-run place and this establishment didn't disappoint. The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“

Only negative, food took to long to come out, 30 minutes between appetizers and entree. Recieved appetizers before drinks. “The space is small, but this is more of a takeout place. The portions are large and therefore you don't need to make many orders and the food is great. Everything is ready when they tell you it will be. you don't have to wait for your order for too long. I definitely recommend as a quick solution if you don't feel like cooking.“

“If you are a fan of Nandos you will like this place! Dont get me wrong, it's not as good but if you want to save yourself the drive to DC. This is a great option. The fries were out of this world! Ask them to put the seasoned salt on them. The chicken had great flavor but i wish it wasn't just a sauce they put on top vs marinating it with it. The other thing that i noticed is you have to buy majority of the menu items separately, which i didn't like too much.“

“I’ve always loved going to Teros. The food is always great along with the service. I just had my husbands 50th Birthday party here last night and I have to say Manny and his staff completely outdid themselves. Our head waiter was just amazing. The food was great. The drinks kept coming and everyone was so pleased and happy w the everything. Thank you so much Manny and staff for Manny and staff for making my husbands 50th so special.“

“This place is great, been coming for years, it does get packed and sometimes only one or two bartenders for like 30 people. But they do their best, the food however is great!!! Get the sampler if you want a little bit of everything! Their garlic shrimp is one of my favorites in the area! I also got a roast lamb!! Sometimes they have specials!!Parking: They have a lot across the street but it tends to get full, try parking in Kearny.“

“Always great food. Staff shows all effort, especially if Spanish is not your strength. The bread is amazing. Calamari were hot and fresh, and the sauce is better than at most restaurants. Vegetables are cooked well. Shish kebabs of shrimp, pork, chorizo and steak is big and tasty. The sangria is very good, red or white.“

Eating area could use some TLC but if you are there just for the food you are good to go.“

“A coworker of mine bought me lunch and she ordered from here. OH MY LORD, I ordered half a chicken with Spanish fries and sautéed vegetables it was AMAZING! I order this about once a week for lunch haha. They offer delivery as well, and the staff inside is very nice and sweet. If you've never been here and want to try n something new. “This is my first time eating Portuguese food and I must say that I had a very good experience with them. The flounder with the spanish rice and sauteed veggies were on point! I also had the chourito and camarno which is sausage and shrimp in a garlicky hot sauce which was divine! the espresso was a nice finish to the meal. I highly recommend trying it out. André our server was very nice and attentive and the chef and everyone cooked the food to perfection. Give Algarve a try!“

“Food was really good. The beef ribs were very well seasoned. The service was great, the young man asked me how I wanted my ribs cooked and that was a surprise to me that they can cook them to my liking. The ambiance reminds me of a college town eatery which brought me back to my college days. The only issue I had is wish it was more food for a whole platter considering the price but I'd definitely go back for more“
