“We have a tradition of going out for Indian food for Easter dinner but it got cut off during COVID. This year was such a wonderful return to a lovely tradition. The vegetarians and omnivores in our family are both happy—we got tandoori fish, saag paneer, Navratan Korma, chicken saag, and tandoori shrimp with a naan basket and the vegetarian appetizer platter. Every bite was better than the last.TLDR: Excellent food, eat here now.Vegetarian options: I love going to places where they don’t think it’s unusual to forego meat. 10/10 recommend!“

“Our first time visiting here and we definitely plan to return! The food was just so delicious and satisfying. We ordered the Chicken Korma and Shahi Paneer which were both so flavorful and creamy. The menu has a wide variety. The service was excellent and friendly. We very content and happy and looking forward to the next time!“

“I recently discovered Layla's Kitchen and highly recommend it. Their food is very good, especially the butter chicken. They also have Nepalese mom's, and their menu is broad and eclectic with many selections. Lastly, their weekend buffet is also very good.“

“OMG, THEIR MOMO'S ARE BETTER THAN MOMO GHAR's ...!!! Yea, I said it. That's speaking sacrilege in this town. But I liked Khaja Ghar's momo's better. Really. Seriously. Honestly. Better... I love the foodie town Columbus has become. When I moved here in the 1980's to go to Ohio State, there were only 3 great restaurants (Refectory, Bexley's Monk, and Ziggy's Continental), and the "ethnic cuisine" options were Mexican at El Vacquero or Chinese at Hunan Lion. That was about it. There weren't many other ethnic foods available. My, how things have changed. Today, Columbus is an amazing and very colorful tapestry of people from different backgrounds, home countries, ethnicities, and their foods. It's pretty amazing. Many of my favorite small, very authentic restaurants are on Morse Road or 161 between I-71 and Cleveland Avenue. The variety and authenticity of the restaurants in this area is incredible. Khaja Ghar is among the best I've found. The jhol momo's are pretty incredible. I think I paid $11.99 for 8 BIG momo's in an incredibly flavorful, delicious red sauce. ("Jhol" momos are drowned in delicious red chutney sauce). I had the Pork Johl Momo's, and I'd beg to get them again and again and again. They're that good. I also had the Thupka soup - flavorful and very satisfying on a grey, cold Ohio January day. As noted in other reviews, it was a little salty, and the spaghetti noodles flip around and cause you to slop a little broth on your shirt, but I love rich, flavorful soup in the winter and this was good enough to order again. The garlic naan was only OK - I'll skip the naan next time. The mango lassi was good - I'd get it again. But the momo's - OMG the momo's - SO GOOD. So delicious. Awe-inspiring. I started to write this review by saying "I have no words to tell you how much I loved their momo's", and then it came to me - I like their momo's better than Momo Ghar's, and I really love Momo Ghar. These are just bigger and better. And a better value. I'm a big guy and a bowl of these (8 big momo's for $11.99) would fill me up completely. Happily. I'm not dissing Momo Ghar - they're awesome. So is Khaja Ghar. I'll probably get hate mail. There will be protestors outside our house. I'll get impeached from Yelp Elites. Banned from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. That's fine. I'll order Doordash from Khaja Ghar and feed everyone and make converts. Khaja Ghar is in a brightly painted building along Morse Road about halfway between Menard's and Cleveland Avenue. Think a small place opened on a budget by immigrants excited to bring their food to you. Kinda dive-y, in the best sort of way. The inside is very clean. The people are nice. I felt completely and totally welcome, even though all other patrons on this Saturday afternoon were Nepali families. The sign out front says "Nepali * Indian * American". I love that. This is a hidden gem. Go. Just go. Get a Mango Lassi and a bowl of Pork Johl Momo's and skip everything else on the menu during your first visit. You'll thank me. Then you'll go back, and you'll thank me again. It's THAT GOOD. I'm already thinking about taking my wife, and some friends, even though I'm still full... :-) (PRO TIP - if you want a REALLY multicultural experience, go grocery shopping at Saraga Market (only 1 mile west on Morse Road), then go to Khaja Ghar...“

“If you don't like crowds, noon is the best time to go! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the staff were friendly without constantly hanging around you. It's a small restaurant so I imagine could get crowded later in the evening. At noon it was quiet and very enjoyable! We will definitely be going back soon!“

“Mehak has become my favorite Indian restaurant. Ordered 4 entrees and 2 appetizers to share and they were all top notch. In the notes section I requested limited packaging (plastic, etc.) and was thrilled my order was placed in a cardboard box without utensils or double wrapped containers. So appreciated the care and attention given to the out of the ordinary request.“

“Very tasty north Indian food in a spacious, well decorated space. The service was friendly and attentive, and the portions were generous for the price. Very convenient if you're staying in one of the nearby hotels, will come again when I'm in town.“

“I have been eating at Indian Oven for about 15 years and have recommended it to countless people. It is my favorite place to eat! But...I am disappointed that you have changed your butter chicken recipe. It has always been my favorite thing to order. Recently, it was not as flavorful and a bit watered down. Change it back please!!! PS....I liked it cut up in the small pieces too. Sorry, I had to remove a star.“

“I recently discovered FAMILY ASIAN CUISINE a hidden gem owned and operated by two young owners in their 20s who are setting a new standard for customer service! Their warm and welcoming demeanor makes you feel like family, and their attention to detail is impressive. The food, of course, is delicious and uniquely presented, but it's the owners' dedication to ensuring every guest has an exceptional experience that truly sets this restaurant. Apart of this ,talented owners have brought a fresh and innovative approach to traditional dishes. Their Nanglo is a must-try - a creative twist on a classic dish that will leave you wanting more. And the pressure cooker momos…Absolutely divine! The unique presentation and flavors will transport your taste buds to a new level. I really appreciated owners' commitment to innovation and customer service. They take the time to get to know you, offer personalized recommendations, and genuinely care about your satisfaction. The youthful energy and enthusiasm they bring to the table (literally!) is contagious and makes for a truly memorable dining experience. Don't miss out on the opportunity to support these talented young entrepreneurs and enjoy a fantastic meal at family Asian cuisine.“

“M.A Grill and Pizza continues to impress my wife and I every time we visit. On this visit, I had a lamb gyro, which was delicious, and she had a New York-style pizza, also delicious, even as leftovers (we took the unfinished portion home). The service is top-notch. We will definitely return for more.“

“Cumin and Curry will forever be my favorite Indian restaurant. The chicken tikka masala is by far the best in town. It is so rich and spicy and with the garlic naan it is heaven. It always is very fresh whenever we order it, and every time, we get free extra rice with our order.“

“My husband and I stopped in here for lunch. It was delicious! We LOVED the mango lassi! Service was great, staff was very nice and our food came out quickly which is great because we were on a bit of a time crunch. We’ll be going here again when we come back to Columbus.“

“Absolutely amazing lamb curry and chicken tikka masala, the best I've had in ages. The establishment is pretty quiet with no music and the TV was on pause, which can be a pro or a con depending on who you are. They don't deal in "white people spicy", so if you're not a spice hound then get medium for your curry!Vegetarian options: They label all dishes that are vegetarian friendly, and whether or not it has dairy in it. They have a section on the menu dedicated to veggie curries.Dietary restrictions: Common allergies are labeled clearly.“

“I hesitate to leave this review because we love Aab so much. However, our most recent visit on 3/12/2023 was less than stellar from a service aspect. So, let me first state the good that was overshadowed by our “head waitress”: 1) The host was friendly and prompt to seat us, and provided several refills for us throughout the evening. 2) The “assistant waitress” filled in the gaps and voids left by the person I assume was supposed to be our waitress. She was friendly, prompt, and available. 3) The food was tasty, high quality, and fresh as we’ve come to expect from our favorite Indian restaurant in the area. Unfortunately, the poor experience we had was squarely on the “head waitress”. A couple of the lowlights: 1) the first time she came to the table she didn’t introduce herself, but complained about how busy she was, and how long we were going to have to wait. Let me be clear, she wasn’t setting expectations, she was complaining about her night. 2) The assistant waitress took our order, then five minutes later, the head waitress comes out with our ticket to confirm our order. Of course the assistant had everything correct, so she only delayed our order. 3) Our entire time at Aab, we heard the head waitress complain to anyone who’d listen how busy she was. If you’re truly that busy, then work at a pace faster than a tortoise and stop complaining to everyone. 4) At the end of our evening, she performed the only duty of a waitress during our time, which was bringing our check. Instead of thanking us, she went into a long winded, rehearsed monologue about how she hoped the slow kitchen didn’t ruin our evening (actually it was you who ruined it), and then capped her poor performance off with a highly distasteful “joke” about the recent train derailments in Ohio. She was completely in poor taste, and I wish I had let her know in that moment. We will still go to Aab, but I will refuse sitting in her section if she is on the clock when we’re there. I only mention any of this because I hope she sees this as constructive criticism and realizes she’s in the service industry, not the “let me ruin your evening by telling you my sob story” industry.“

“Have been there once for dinner and another time on the weekend for brunch buffet. The Dinner outing was really good, they had authentic tasting Pakistani/Indian food. Breakfast buffet, food was good, service very slow, naan and paratha would run out for a long time. Beef was tough in nehari, seemed like they were done separately. Ambiance was like a fast food restaurant. I would go again for the food though.“

“Always delicious and portions bountiful for family and friends! Visited here multiple times, and my favorite thing as of lately has been the Mandi biryani, as it’s a full platter that features different varieties of food on top of delicious biryani. Personally, I enjoyed the vegetarian one more so than the chicken because I found some of the chicken to be a bit dry, but nevertheless spicy and flavorful. FYI, despite a serving size saying 2, it could definitely feed 4! The atmosphere is ok, often I’ve found it to be loud because of other families but that aside, service is very kind.“

“We DoorDash from here all the time. I've never been to the actual restaurant, but we love their food! My husband orders butter chicken and I order butter paneer almost every time, and both are always excellent. The "eat-in" restaurant prices and their DoorDash prices are the same (at least according to the DoorDash app). This could be a five star review but the to-go packaging isn't great. Today the butter chicken spilled all over in the bag, which was a mess (still delicious though). The rice comes in a styrofoam box that latches closed so it isn't super secure. The curries come in a plastic container with a lid, but today it leaked all over inside the paper bag. If they would fix this problem, we would consider it a five star DoorDash option.“

“The inside was very nice and the service was excellent. The waitress was super helpful with helping us decide what to get and when we got the food it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for good Indian food that is a little less Americanized than most. Delicious garlic naan too!“
“Amazing Food and Amazing owners. I ordered Nihari and Seekh Kabab and was 45 mins late but the owner kept the shop running and understood that it was out of my control. He was really nice about it too. The food was fresh and extremely tasty. I Dont live in Columbus but will definitely find reasons to go back because I wanna order more things and try them out as well!“

“Small place that reminded me of when I’ve been in East Asia. First time I’ve had Indian food where the chicken was not all dried out. Everything was really good and the staff is friendly. And I like a buffet where I can pick what I want. A hole in the wall place I’d recommend to folks who like trying international food.“

“Outstanding isn’t a strong enough word for the food and service. Incredible experience and likely the best dining experience that I’ve ever had in Columbus. Only complaint was the temperature in the restaurant. We were freezing for the entire two hours that we were in there.“
