“The best Pho I’ve had in the city. It’s cash only but they have an ATM there. One of the biggest appeals for me other than the food is that they always seat you immediately and bring out your food practically as fast as you order it. It’s also at a good price point. Depending on when you go parking is usually hard to find so you’re probably better off parking on the street nearby.Parking: Depending on when you go parking can be hard to find. I would suggest looking for street parking as you get close.“

“The food is amazing and not the typical Vietnamese offering. The restaurant switches up the menu quite frequently, so you almost never know what is going to be available when you go there. It is definitely a great date place and it is located in a very fun neighborhood.“

“forget the ambience; it's sketchy in the best way... we've ordered bahn mi twice now and they were consistent, fairly priced, and delicious... tonight we got pho for take-out and it was fantastic... the scalding hot broth comes separate from the noodles and any proteins to be poured over top once you're ready. the hot sauce is hot and the jalapeños are not your baby-stuff-for-babies. these folk will stay on our list.“

They put tables together to accommodate our party or 6. Plenty of street parking outside on a Sunday.“

“My family and I have been going here for probably over 2 decades and the food now is just as good as I remembered. This place is a small, family owned restaurant located deep in South Philly and serves amazing food. The most popular item here is the noodle soup and there are several variations on the menu. You can get the classic (pork) noodle soup (item #1 on their menu), combination of pork and some seafood (#2), egg noodles instead of rice noodles (#3-4), seafood noodle soup (#5), etc. I love this type of noodle soup because the pork based broth is so light, flavorful and comforting. Unfortunately, I don't get it very often at other Asian restaurants because it's never good anywhere else. This place does it the best and is the closest you can get to eating at someone's house. You can also order a side of fried dough to dip into the broth to soak up that yummy goodness. The spring rolls here are also very highly addictive with an insane level of crispiness. The other item I highly recommend (though my husband does not like it as much) is the beef fried with large noodles (#35). It's sliced beef and Chinese broccoli gravy over chow fun noodles and unbelievably delicious especially when paired with a drizzle of Sriracha. If you ever want to venture off the beaten path and try good, authentic Southeast Asian cuisine I'd highly recommend coming here to support this local family-owned business. I hope to come here for another 20+ years.“

“Very cute place to get the best Mì Quảng in the city. The owner is absolutely hilarious but can be mistaken for rude. 10 out of 10 recommended, but be careful of the neighborhood. “Omg !! I just ordered a Chicken Pho during my lunch break today and this Pho has to be the best one I have ever tried. At first when I smelled the broth alone I wasn't impressed once I tasted it was a game changer. And definitely once I put the noodles, chicken, and fried garlic and a little bit of Sriracha sauce in the broth I was in love !! For me this has to be the #1 Pho spot I've been to. I especially enjoyed the chicken curry dumplings and the shrimp vermicelli.Corey was just fantastic. We enjoyed getting to know him and his culinary background. He made us feel so much at home!We did sing some karaoke after our meal lol. We were closing down the shop and honestly it was a blast. I cannot recommend this place enough! “I’ve walked by this spot so many times, and it seemed every time I was hungry they were closed (closed on weekends) but today I finally stepped in. I ordered 2 bánh mìs and a Vietnamese coffee. Pete, the owner/operator of the spot was the only one there and we instantly jumped into great conversation about the music scene in Philly back in the late 90s. We ended up knowing a lot of the same people. Philly is a tight knit group. So even before eating the food I was already a fan of this spot. Pete served me his special take on Vietnamese coffee while we talked and he made the sandwiches. The iced coffee was excellent, but different and less sweet than Vietnamese coffee I’ve had in the past. He also used ice cubes made of coffee which was an added bonus for a coffee junkie like myself. After we talked for nearly 20 min, I walked home with my sandwich and WOW! Such a solid bánh mì! I told him to make it like he would make it for himself (spicy) and he knocked it out of the park. I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing all my music friends here when they are in the neighborhood. I highly encourage Olde City residents as well as Philly locals to give this place a try!“

“Cash only! Best place for authentic bun bo hue in Philly! (Other bun bo hue places probably won't give you as much meat.) Ordered: 1. Bun Bo hue special (large; but with pho noodles): Can ask for a bit of spicy but will always come as spicy or can ask for more spicy. My wife prefers to replace the Bun Bo hue noodles with Pho rice noodles. 3. Banh Uot Cha Lua (Steamed rice roll with Ham) Our go to is the one with minced meat but they ran out during our visit around 11am on a weekday. Comes out as a cold food which is perfect for summer time. You can ask for them to make your bean sprouts more soft. Their seating space inside is small and limited but their food comes out fast so their turn over rates are fast. Their bathrooms are also small.“

The staff was so nice that they even gave me two packs of ice so I can have it in my bag cooler. I have to say the quality of the bread and meat is so fresh. “Pho shop was busy on a Friday evening. Ate the vegetarian pho and the vegetarian spring rolls. The pho was tasty and not salty. The vegetables were very fresh and crispy (aka not overcooked in the broth). I ordered some extra boiled tofu and they brought it fresh without any issue or argument. Would definitely come here again to enjoy another meal. Moderately priced, and friendly service.“

“Five stars !!! Surprisingly good authentic Vietnamese food in the middle of a disadvantaged neighborhood. It's not as bad as Kensington neighborhood, but I would advise go before sundown and don't go alone. Now, onto the food : Very legit pho broth, has beef bones flavor and doesn't leave that extreme thirst aftertaste like those from fake powder pho broths. The meat is a bit thick, but acceptable. I would advise them to invest in a meat slicer to get super thin slices. Also to slice the tripe thinner too. Noodles are cooked well and not too soggy or chewy. Veggies are super fresh ! The bessstttt part for me is their homemade sate chillies lemongrass sauce. Oh my my ! It gives every dish that extra layer of flavor and aroma ! I don't see this at every Viet restaurant Banh mi - bbq beef is bomb !!! Omg has to be my top 3 spots in Philly for banh mi. Love the scallions mayo. Well seasoned meat. Crispy fluffy bread. Freshly pickled daikon carrots. Great balance. Smoothies are juices are REAL fruits. I see 5 watermelons and bunch of bananas, pineapples, mangos etc on display. Prices are very reasonable, lower than at other Viet places in nicer areas. They do take credit card and has delivery service. Service was friendly, fast, and they speak English well. I hope they do well and expand locations to more commercialized neighborhoods like south Philly. Easier and safer to get to. But for now, prices are great and I will continue to make the trek there.“

My friend got the steak pho - broth was amazing and the meat was delicious. My other friend got vermicelli with short rip and shrimp - also great. We got the summer roll for the table - everything was super fresh and good. Light and flavorful but filling.“

BBQ chicken Banh mi was good, although I usually prefer the chicken without the BBQ sauce, it was still great chicken. Bread and veggies fresh.
