“We attended a Freemark Abbey wine dinner at FortyEight Wine Bar & Kitchen in April. The food was outstanding as was the service and ambience. The wine and food pairings were delicious. That being said, they served two beef entrees with red wines. I probably would have paired the last cabernet with a chocolate dessert. We also had lunch there on another day, sat outside and had a tasty lunch. Highly recommend FortyEight!“

“Each time I come down to stay at our family’s home in Kiawah, we always end up walking down the beach to The Sanctuary’s Bar to end our evening. This year the staff was A++++. I have to give a special shoutout to Nel, Britney & Mr. Wesley for going above & beyond the entire week, each night we visited. From seeing some of us waiting in line & before we even got to the front of the line, knowing & having our drinks ready or to helping my grandmother onto our golf cart as she is handicap. They made our family have the most fun we have had in years down here in Kiawah. We look forward to being back over Easter. Thanks for everyone who took care of us throughout the week!“

“Summer days when the grands are in town, this is the best place to let them get out energy. The standard pool is great for laps and lounging. Shoulder season the pool is heated and in the heat of summer, the water is chilled. And the food and drink services during summer are handy!“

“Pretty good meal. Loved sitting outside by the ocean course. Others in my group loved their meals (burgers, fish and chips, fried shrimp, kids menu stuff). My food was good but not great (French dip, bloody Mary). Overall, worth a stop when on Kiawah.“

“I had such a good dinner here and the food was delicious. I took one star off because they don't have a separate fryer for shellfish which limits what someone with a shellfish allergy can choose from the menu. Aside from that, it's located right on the golf course and has indoor or outdoor seating. Prices are on the higher end but the quality of the food really shines.“

“Love LowLife and visit frequently. Recently had a baby and brought her today after the Sea and Sand Festival. The place was understandably packed. We didn't have a table and needed to change our baby's diaper. They don't have a diaper changing station on site. I changed her on the ground outside the front door on our changing mat. I don't mind doing that but it seems like a minor detail to accommodate the numerous families that visit locally and as tourists.Kid-friendliness: No changing tables on site.“

“The dimly-lit interior is visually OK but not really conducive to a lively gathering. We usually get drinks here (top-notch service and sufficient pours) but have been slightly surprised by the few decent food options we’ve consumed. Live music here is very loud inside. The outdoor area is well-furnished and prime people-watching real estate.“

“If you want to watch football, this is THE place!! Lots of tvs! The bartenders are some of the best in Charleston! We went today to watch the Packers and they filled up fast. Only two bartenders but you wouldn't know it because they crushed it!!! They kept their cool, handled each guest with great service. I didn't get their names but they rock!!! We had a great time, great service and great bar menu!“

“This bar is a good place for a drink and games of pool. On the weekends, there is live music. If you want to play pool make sure to check that it is not a league or tournament night first. If you want to play in a tournament there is usually a buy in and starts around 8. Friendly service, cheap drinks, and smoking allowed inside makes this a blast from the past.“

“Omggg!!! That was the BEST CHICKEN CHEESE STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD!!! We actually live on Folly Island and rarely do fast food/delivery food , but tonight was just one of those exhausting evenings. First of all the girl that took our call was so sweet , polite and patient. We ordered the " Redneck " chicken cheese steak and a beef steak cheese steak. Side of Cole slaw and side of chips. It took no time at all for our " Hot Food " to arrive. The driver was so friendly and fast ! The food was extremely fresh and the bread to meat to cheese proportions where on point!! Absolutely the best cheese steak we have had and we will be ordering again. Thank you so much! You made our dinner evening effortless and delicious“

“I had walked past the night before and the place was packed. We went for lunch the next day. It was quiet and the food was good. I had a hamburger with a nice crisp outside. The fires were cooked just right. My wife had shrimp tacos which she was pleased with. It was one of the better eateries we went to in Folly Beach. It is dog friendly.“

“We love going to get a quick bite here and watch the sunset! We always get our food to go and they go sit out by the docks and enjoy the sunset. Salty Dog next door usually has live music too that you can enjoy! ?Kid-friendliness: Our daughter loves running around and dancing to the music!“

“I go here a good bit. Staff is always friendly and service is always great! I love when there is live music it always makes for a good time. They recently got rid of the boiled peanuts which makes me so sad because they were me and husband's favorite bar snack along with the Owl toes!“

“Darnell was phenomenal—we had an excellent experience and he was great! They were able to accommodate our large group last minute, and our service was stellar. We were celebrating our grandmothers 80th and him and the staff made it memorable for her and our whole family!“

“Our kids loved it here. They spent the entire time we were there playing games. Unfortunately they spent quite a bit of money. The food was decent. They have a wide menu of pub food. We got a chicken salad sandwich, prime rib sandwich and chicken strips and fries. It was right around the corner from where we were staying. There's plenty of free parking and there was no wait on a Sunday evening.“
