“Visited Coleman Public House on Sunday afternoon. Great burger and Beet Salad. Great beer selection.Service was great too.I like a clean restaurant but my eyes were watering from the cleaning solution they use and the smell of it made it hard to enjoy the meal. Also, I can't help but mention that the silverware was what you might expect at Golden Coral not at an upscale Public House.“

“A month ago, was able to reserve dinner for a big group of 20.Arrived this past Tuesday and Travis Parys (G.M.) did a great job in helping coordinate the 2 tables, staff (our server was Whitney and she did fantastic-sadly I can't remember the name of other gentleman at 2nd table). Everyone was thrilled with the drinks, service and excellent food. All stated they would return. Thanks for helping me make the start of our 3 day adventure in Charleston so perfect.“

“The food here is insanely fresh and made so well. Flavors were really on pointe and made humble classics like the grilled cheese taste new and exciting, same with their daily soup options. My husband and I were passing through on our way to Charleston, and we're definitely stopping here on our way back home! We got the pimento grilled cheese, peppercorn/horseradish/coriander rare roast beef sandwich, ceasar salad, and tomato/tarragon/crab soup. All of it was shockingly good, and if you're a bit of a snob about good ceasar dressing like I am (has to have anchovies somewhere in the recipe), you will be delighted by this salad! If I would give any criticism, I would say with a full house it can get loud and make some conversation indoors a bit difficult, but we were pretty focused on eating our great food anyways haha.Parking: Clearly a popular spot because parking was hard to come by in the small lot they're located in.“

“What can I say? My friends and I love this place. We are here more often than we are anywhere else. The owner-employee's friendliness and the feel of the space are welcoming. It's a bar but with many 'homemade' reasons to visit. Let me start with the freshly squeezed citrus. Sorry, but my powers of observation are keen, and I do not see many other places doing what The Southern does. They squeeze both fresh grapefruit and fresh oranges continuously -- as in, it never stops. They take pride in serving their signature cocktail, A Freshy, made with vodka, fresh grapefruit, and a splash of cranberry. It's $7 during happy hour, and the grapefruit juice alone is worth that price. I seem to always gravitate to the carbs when I visit. Homemade potato skins and homemade, hand-battered GIANT onion rings. The skins start as baked potatoes that are lightly scooped and filled with plenty of cheese and bacon. I make a point of saying 'very lightly scooped' because these skins are meaty! There is quite a lot of potato left here before they add the cheese, so it's a meal I can barely finish -- four to a serving with green onions and heaps of sour cream for $10. The onion rings are finished with the tiniest bit of sea salt right when they come out of the fryer. They may just be the best original recipe onion rings I have tasted, and you get quite a pile for $8. The service is great, and there are always bartenders hustling drinks and hustling food to all the tables. They are the hardest group of owner-employees out there, and the way they care about what goes out to customers shows. Again, this is a bar. But it is also a gathering place for locals. I've never walked in and not known somebody already enjoying themselves. If you know, you know ;-)“

Muddy's Dockside Bar Bar • $
1313 Shrimp Boat Ln, Mt Pleasant

“You have Vickerys bar and grill upstairs a classic port side restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbor, marsh and ocean and then you have Muddys downstairs just off the dock. Vickerys has delicious fresh seafood and a very reasonable price. The crab cakes will blow your mind and you won't be paying $25 or more that they charge just a few hours inland. They have a large comfortable bar, great friendly service and an overall welcoming feeling from the minute you walk in the door. Then you walk downstairs to Muddys. Muddys is basic but has all you need. A sandy dock side bar just off the water where you can sit and feel like your on vacation at some far away port. You can cozy up to the bar with your feet in the warm sand, watch the boats pull into the harbor while taking in the fresh smell of the ocean and enjoying an awesome view. The drinks are cheap and the fresh seafood is affordably priced and delicious. I strongly suggest going when they have all you can eat oysters. Awesome... Nothing better then hanging out with friends, new and old and spending a day away at this little slice of paradise.“

“Love this place. Perfect for the beer aficionado or even the casual beer drinker looking to expand his/her palate. Great vibe to the place and a knowledgeable staff. Parking is decent too.My one knock is when I asked for water (after I'd reached my limit) the barkeep handed me a plastic cup and said pointed me to the water fountain in the back near the restroom.Come on guys. It's water. Don't send your patrons to fill their own plastic cup from your drinking fountain. It's the little things. This won't keep me from returning. I'll be back but I just like to give reasons for my grade of 4 stars versus 5.“

“My husband and I came here for lunch today on Cinco de Mayo and it was great! The food was very delicious and had a great flavor. This was by far the BEST fajitas we've had anywhere in the lowcountry. Our waiter was very friendly and the food came out really quick! My berry margarita was very good too. We sat outside and they have a nice patio. Their prices aren't too bad compared to some places around the area. I can't wait to come back!“
