This restaurant is unfortunately not nut-allergy friendly. August of 2021, I went to this place with my sister and I warned the staff member (an old woman) that I had a nut allergy then proceeded to order the tan-tan ramen. In my defence, I had no idea want tan-tan is, and the menu said nothing about nuts. I took one spoonful and immediately started to feel funny. It turns out the ramen contains cashews, which I’m deathly allergic to. I started to go into anaphylactic shock and the staff literally didn’t seem to care. I sat out in the hallway crying and gasping for air, trying to get into the bathroom (which was locked) because I began to also feel sick. It took some very kind man and his partner (who was also eating at the restaurant) to scream at the staff for them to even give me water or the washroom keys. I ended up hospitalized in Banff for about 4-5 hours and the staff still made us pay for BOTH RAMEN DISHES, even though it LITERALLY almost killed me. They need to start advertising if dishes actually CONTAIN nuts and not just, “it may contain. Please let us know if you have allergies,” because the woman didn’t say a word to me that what I was ordering contained nuts.
Some of the best ramen I I’ve ever had.

It was closed by law.
Never thought the best vegan ramen we’d have would be in Banff!! Not a lot of seating and the place gets packed around lunch/dinner time, so try to go earlier or later. Service was quick, seamless, and excellent. My fiancé and I will definitely be back ?
I wanted ramen, I got ramen. Fast, yummy, friendly. Literally exactly what I wanted.

Went here for lunch with friends on Thanksgiving Day. I think the lady was only working by herself. A lot of the dishes on the menu were sold out. I tried the Pulled Charsiu Rice Bowl, it was very small, like a side dish. Taste was okay though. I thought it was too expensive for $15 but maybe it was expensive because apparently it used premium Japanese as per the menu on their website. My friends have also commented that there was nothing too special on their ramen dishes.

The best ramen I’ve ever had. The broth is rich and flavourful and the noodles are perfectly chewy. Recommend miso tan tan ramen with additional order of chashu.

Located in the lower level of the Kirby Lane Mall, this is a gem! I had the miso ramen and it was perfect for a chilly evening.

Small restaurant hidden in the lower level of a building. Not very noticeable from the outside. We stumbled into this place when looking into the coffee shop on the street. The flavors of the ramen are delicious and so fulfilling. A great stop on a cold day or after a great day hike.

Pretty good ramen but to add egg and stuff it was quite pricy. Good service. The place is quite small and the music is good. Not the most filling.

I never expected to find authentic japanese ramen in Banff, and was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon amu when getting coffee. There is hardly any advertising and only 10 seats available. It does not seem to be well known, but definitely worth finding! We tried shoyu, shiyo, and tan tan ramens, and all the broths were amazing. Even the rice bowls are a hit! The drink menu seems limited, but they also have macha in can or ramune bottles as well. Definitley recommend for the authentic japanese flavors!

What a jem hole in a wall spot. We randomly came across this and decided to try it. We ordered vegan miso tantan and vegan tantan. Both dishes absolutely amazing. We were licking chopsticks by end of it. Owner and chef is also very down to earth person. It is certainly worth trying amongst other things Banff has to offer. The flavors were just unbelievable, very good spot!
