I love visiting BeaverTails all across Canada. I've enjoyed their delicious treats in places like Toronto Niagara Falls), Kelowna (Waterfront Park), and Big White Ski Resort. It's always been a fun and pleasant experience — until now.
Unfortunately, my visit to BeaverTails in Banff was very disappointing. I’ve never had such a bad experience at a BeaverTails location. The service was terrible, and the person working there acted like I was bothering them just by placing an order. Their attitude was unfriendly and unprofessional, which is completely different from what I’ve experienced at other locations.
BeaverTails is a brand I really enjoy, and I believe they should invest more in training their staff in customer service — especially at this location. A smile and a welcoming attitude can make a big difference.
I truly hope this review helps improve the customer experience at Banff, because BeaverTails has always been a highlight of my travels across Canada.

It was our first time having a beavertail. We had it every night when we were in Banff. The store was not laid out well but the food and service was great.

We tried the honey pistachio and nutella banana. Both were good especially the banana one. When they first came out, hot and crunchy, it was literally melting in my mouth, really amazing!

The food is great, but to the employees who made my friend stand in the corner of the shop to wait for a poutine and then stared at her, expecting her to walk through the OVERCROWDED store, when HE could have brought it over? From his empty side of the counter? Seriously? Were those 5 extra steps too much for you? Lmao.

Our friends told us we had to try a beavertail pastry while in Banff—though they couldn’t remember the name or location (helpful). Turns out, it’s literally called BeaverTails, a Canadian chain known for flat, deep-fried pastries shaped like a beaver tail. We planned to get two for breakfast, but after seeing the size, we shared one: the Maple Glazed with maple candy flakes. It came out piping hot in a loose wrapper—definitely not walk-and-eat food—so we found a bench and dug in. Sweet, crispy, warm, and indulgent. Not life-changing, but pretty darn good and worth stopping by if you're wandering around Banff.

Now they don't even split all the flavors, only similar bases which in my opinion is ridiculous, also last 2 times it was way over cooked, it's rolled out to thin. Overall it's sad to see such a great local company follow all other cost saving corps and lose what made it special.

The store was quite busy, late at night, there was only one person working and he was managing a full store with ease and a smile on his face. The wait was worth his service, thank you Mallid! ( sorry if the spelling is incorrect) once the store cleared out and it was just my partner and I in the store we started to chat, this was our first time and we weren’t sure on choice of pistachio and apple pie so he last minute did a half and half for us and gave us an additional that was made during the rush. Really a great experience that wasn’t expected. Super yummy! I hope this reaches you Mallid , You’re a great person, the best to you!
