Absolutely Disgusting Experience — Avoid at All Costs!

Hands down the worst spicy Korean noodles we've ever had. My family and I came all the way from Jasper and ended up here at Chopstix in Banff because our favorite place was closed — what a mistake. The noodles smelled foul like they were expired, and the texture was beyond soggy, almost like mush. I tried to complain, but the staff completely ignored me — not even a word of apology or concern.

To make things worse, when we poured water into our glasses, a piece of plastic came out of the pitcher! On top of that, the lid was visibly filthy absolutely disgusting. This place clearly has zero standards for hygiene or customer service.

Save yourself the disappointment , don’t waste your money or risk your health here. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy. The worst part is I even gave them 15% tip. And I don't think they deserve it....

Saw the mixed reviews and should have listened to the other 1 star reviews. The food was BAD. I ordered the Dan Dan ramen and the noodles were super SOGGY. The flavour was plain and egg was peeled horribly. I would not come back for this.

Finally stopped by this place after passing it many times during our Banff visit.
The tonkotsu ramen was good, though I'm not a big fan of the corn topping.
The takoyaki was delicious—freshly made and warm!

went to Chopstix Noodle Bar in Basildon, was severed by Anthony who was most helpful and polite, the food was really nice and tasty and Lizzi was most helpful and making sure the seating area and bins were clean 😘

Worst Pho Experience Ever – Don’t Waste Your Money

I was extremely disappointed with Chopstix Noodle Bar in Banff. The food was completely bland and tasteless, clearly made with cheap, low-quality ingredients. As a pho restaurant, it failed on every level. There were no basic pho essentials like fresh basil, bean sprouts, or lime — things you expect even at the most basic pho spot.

The rice noodles were not authentic at all — they were soggy, overcooked spaghetti noodles. The soup included fish balls that were basically just flour with fish flavor, and chunks of fake crab that made the experience even worse.

To top it off, it wasn’t even cheap. We each paid around $20 for a small bowl of this mess. The service was cold and impersonal — you order at the counter, get a number, and that’s it. The atmosphere was just as uninviting as the food.

This was hands down the worst pho restaurant I’ve ever been to. I will never go back, and I strongly recommend that others avoid it.

Bad smell inside, food is not tasty, very bland and of unknown quality, judging by the smell in the room.

The smell is horrible, like something has been spoiled in the back or something. People are good, but smell ruins everything.

This is a Taiwanese-Canadian owned spot, so you’ll find some classic Taiwanese dishes on the menu like braised pork rice. They also serve Japanese ramen, Vietnamese pho, and a few other options. The staff was super friendly, but the food did take quite a while to arrive. Still, it was worth the wait. I tried the Vietnamese beef pho; the broth was light yet flavorful, and they were generous with the beef. Overall, a really satisfying meal.

OK ,chopstix is really not that good at all, for one they had two marketing ploys. one having free spring rolls for downloading the app and a medium box. now me not having enough money for any of there more expensive meals which that is the majority of the meals. tried to use there promo it scanned, didn't do anything went to checkout and did the same thing. the manager didn't even give an explanation as to why. horrible place to go

The staff kindly waited until we ordered, and the taste of the drink was very delicious.
If possible, I hope the amount of sugar can be adjusted.

This is a hidden gem in basement location on Banff ave. Very good options, if you want diff Asian foods: has pho, ramen, Taiwanese braised pork rice! And lots of drink options too! Our party had several different dishes and all were happy! Fast helpful service too!
