I felt like the portions were small for the price you pay but the food was delicious and it's at a beautiful location in the town!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
An exceptional dining experience — world-class steak and impeccable execution

I visited Chuck’s Steakhouse for my birthday and, despite arriving just before the dinner rush without a reservation, we were seated immediately. Our table was by the door, but considering how quickly the restaurant fills, I was genuinely grateful. For anyone planning a visit: a reservation is strongly recommended. And as a courtesy reminder to other diners — you cannot be seated earlier than your reservation time simply because you arrive early; those tables are still occupied.

The cuisine, however, is where Chuck’s truly distinguishes itself.
My steak was, without exaggeration, the finest I have ever tasted — flawlessly cooked, richly flavored, and executed with obvious mastery. My dining partner ordered the Wagyu for the first time in his life and declared it the best steak he has ever had as well. The consistency between dishes speaks volumes about the kitchen’s precision.

The sides were equally impressive.
The potato gratin was the standout — luxuriously creamy, perfectly balanced, and easily the best I’ve had anywhere. The carrots were exceptional as well; I struggled to recall any preparation that surpassed them. A glass of the house Prosecco complemented the meal beautifully — bright, crisp, and surprisingly memorable for a by-the-glass option.

The ambiance is intimate, with seating placed close together in a way that evokes a refined European bistro. From our vantage point, we could appreciate the natural rhythm of the room — lively yet well-managed, warm without being chaotic.

Front-of-house staff were excellent: professional, engaged, and clearly proud of their work. Their interactions with both guests and colleagues contributed significantly to the overall experience. Our server, despite a demanding section, remained attentive, gracious, and efficient.

At approximately $400 for two people — with steaks themselves comprising the majority of the cost — this is undeniably a premium experience. Yet for the quality delivered, the pricing aligns with the caliber of the meal.

In summary:
This was one of the most outstanding dining experiences I’ve had, and quite possibly the best steak of my life. Chuck’s Steakhouse earns a full and confident five stars.

It was our first time at Chuick's, but will not be our last. Beautiful place, great food and the staff was marvelous. Thank you Annie 26.

I was super excited about this dinner. And initially walking in I was pleasantly surprised. Very classy atmosphere, clean and smelled phenomenally. Ordered cheese toast, ribs, 2 prime rib-eyes, potatoes au gratin, Mac and cheese, and Cesar salad. Waiter was super friendly at first, Cesar salad was a hit. Cheese toast was good. Ribs were perfect. The steaks were ordered medium, one came medium, one came medium rare. It was chewy, and flavourless. I thought maybe they gave us a sirloin or similar instead. When I asked the waiter if maybe they didn’t give us rib-eye, he got very defensive and began to avoid our table. The waiter began to explain to us how steak should be, and he began to show us where the marbling was explained that steak is chewy. At that point we just went silent and realized that this wasn’t going anywhere. Instead of saying anything about what he can do, or check with the chef, or any acknowledgement of what we said, he made the rest of the meal very uncomfortable. I didn’t even say anything about the flavour of the Mac and cheese or potatoes- not good, over powering onion taste for the potatoes and I can’t begin to describe the Mac and cheese. No one at the table had more than one bite. At the end of the meal he took 45 dollars off of the bill, which was never the point and it wasn’t asked for. The point is that steak should not taste like it was pan fried with a lid on it and a customers feedback should be taken as a service to the restaurant, a way to improve, not as a personal attack. I spent the earlier part of the evening telling the waiter how excited I was and I how we were looking forward to this dinner as the best end to our trip. To have such a disappointing experience was not at all what I was expecting.

I forgot to add that we also order the onion soup which was very good.

Our server was amazing as well as the food, absolute top notch. The hostess gave me incredible attitude when checking in, yes my party was 5 minutes early, still doesn't warrant that kind of rude communication, especially as that is the first face you see when entering the restaurant.

Unbelievable meal. Sat in the back room for a 40th birthday and it exceeded our expectations. Will recommend to everyone in Banff.

Always exceptional - food, setting, value - impressive for sure! We had the 3 course menu- tartar and dumplings to start, strip loin (we do love a rib eye but the extra $22 is hard to justify on top of the strip loin price) and One of each desert. We each had a cocktail to start along with extra order of cheese bread (so good) and I had wine. We loved everything but wished we had the Aussie? Server - she was SOOO engaging and helpful. Our gal was fine - did the job but certainly didn't do more than take the order and deliver the meal. If we could have found room or swapped something, the Caesar salad was pined for as we watched the other table enjoyed it - I guess you can't always have it all! (But close). Thought? PLEASE consider opening a location up in west 85 / broadcast area off old bang coach road. We NEED. Steak house and boy you'd thrive here!

Food was awesome!!! Ananda was our server!!! She was okay but kinda had an attitude. I'd come back for the food but request a different server.
