Steak was good and server was good. However, food was cold and overall dining experience was ok. Fairly pricey and just ok. Probably wouldn’t go again but if you really like steak and various steak options, might enjoy it. Sides were not great. Dessert was good. Again overall ok. Maybe just an off night for them.

We are local to Calgary, frankly, this was mediocre at best. We had the fresh oysters which were tiny and full of shell, the beef tartare, which was actually great. Followed up we had the surf and turf platter and frankly, the lobster tail was cold and old, the crab legs were clearly frozen, thawed and overcooked. It was a 40th birthday and a $500 cheque (with tip) and it just wasn't memorable. Won't be back. At least our server was great.

We have been looking forward to try dinning at Chucks and so glad we did. The food quality was excellent everything was so flavourful cooked to perfection. We started with the SAUTÉED SCALLOPS (Salt baked celeriac, pine nuts, dates, Armagnac) which were so fresh and delicious. For our main we went with family style CHATEAUBRIAND( 16oz Alberta Beef Tenderloin served with heirloom carrots, sautéed mushrooms, fingerling potatoes, jus, béarnaise) the meat was succulent and literally the best I had ever tasted perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. We ended our day with scrumptious VANILLA CREME BRÛLÉE Served white chocolate cookie which had perfect texture and sweetness. Our server was attentive and friendly with a delightful smile. The atmosphere was perfect for a celebratory dinner. Loved every second we were there. Thank you to the entire team at Chucks. You guys made our anniversary memorable.

We came to Chucks after a great day exploring Banff. 4 of us total. The bartender was incredibly nice and educated in our Kentucky bourbon. Once the server took over she was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable for tourists asking questions. The table side Caesar set the bar high as the best salad we’ve ever had. The wagyu and the Alberta dry aged ribeye were equally as impressive and paired well with the broccolini and the Mac & cheese. Easily the best tasting and our favorite dinner meal while in the area. Incredibly relaxed and cozy ambiance with kind people and amazing food.
What an unforgettable experience! Each dish we had was superb. Our server was fantastic and went over and beyond for us. We kept checking what the other people ordered and was sad that we only had space for what we ordered. So we’re definitely going back to try the rest ??♀️
For the prices they charge we were very disappointed. We ordered the Steak Tartare (taste was bland) to start, I got the tenderloin and my husband got the strip loin. For sides we picked the Broccolini and Cowboy Mash (very watery). Both of us got food poisoning after eating there. The atmosphere was very noisy and we couldn’t hear each other. The waitress was quite rude and actually walked away with attitude from our table as I was asking her questions about the starters. Warning: All their starters are raw and it seems they get offended if you tell them you don’t eat raw food. I keep going over the whole scenario of how I ended up ordering the raw starter… definitely felt like I was pressured into it by the waitress’ intimidating attitude. I did enjoy the tenderloin and broccolini but definitely do not recommend this restaurant for the reasons mentioned above. Don’t ruin your appetite and the rest of your vacation.
