I frequent luxury hotels. I am fortunate to attend business meetings that take place in quality vacation spots around the world. I have stayed at more Intercontinental, Fairmont, Ritz, and Waldorf hotels than I can count. This is the first time I have paid a five-star price for a three-star-sized bed and room. I loved the hotel, the history, the service, and the amenities (horseback riding on site). But know you are paying for a top vacation spot and may not get a top vacation room and bed if you don't reserve it early. Also, get the top floors because the view of the mountains gets better as you get highter up.

We have been wanting to stay here for a long time and it finally happened.

As you enter the grandness of this massive property is overwhelming. The chateau/ Castle like feel is quite natural .

The staff at we entered was very attentive and friendly but as soon as we checked in the front desk at around 3:00 pm , we were told that the room will be ready by 4 pm . We have travelled all across the globe but never had such an experience of waiting for almost an hour to get the room specially at the big price we paid .
It was certainly very disappointing.
Then the room size was so small, I felt like crying and regretted , We had stayed at Hotel Canoe previous night and were so happy with the experience. The bathroom was so tiny , I felt like bumping in the walls .
The Location and views of this hotel is amazing undoubtedly and that’s the only brownie point , I would like to give .
Their terraces were all decorated with fresh and artificial flowers and it was a treat to eyes .
The next morning , their breakfast buffet was third class, almost everything needed a refill . There were no glasses for the juices . Hardly any choice of food. Even the Marriott breakfast buffet has more options. We have been to major cities all across the world and the breakfast would be memorable and lavish like a king but Banff Springs was a pathetic one . And that too when we paid $40 per person for it .
Overall , we thought it wasn’t worth the price we paid .

We had lunch at The Vermillion Room. Very delicious, plenty of choices and reasonable prices. Our Server, Genevieve was outstanding. Cheerfully greeted us, attentive to our needs and made us feel very welcomed!

Banff Springs was on my bucket list of premiere courses to play and it did not disappoint. The practice facilities were the best I have ever seen. Every hole had a spectacular view. The course was in exceptional condition and the staff was world class. Kudos to Jae and the team for making me feel so welcomed.

The 1880
Restaurant should be closed after the service I just received.

Got to the restaurant early. Only wanted a glass of wine but the only bar tender said I would have to wait, he had a large table to make drinks for first. 15 minutes later still can’t even pour me a glass of wine.

Then with open tables in the dining room they put us in th what area high top. And guess what, the over worked bar tender became also our waiter.

Cold steaks, forgot our sides. Still a 400 dollar tab.

Was going to come back this winter with more friends but not anymore!

I never wrote reviews either but this was that bad!

Just perfect! The location is a bit removed from downtown which is nice to be away from the hustle and bustle but it's still walkable. Customer service was impeccable. Dax the pool boy makes great drinks too!

Our dinner at 1888 Chop House was fantastic. The menu was well curated, offering land and sea options. We had the pate and lamb tartar starters, followed by the dry aged porterhouse with sides of crispy tots (yum!) and asparagus. All were delicious. Moreover, the wine list was top notch, with a deep selection of delicious Napa Valley and Old World options. The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable, and put service first and foremost. If you like a great steak house experience then this is the place for you.

We came here for 4 nights with 9 family members to celebrate a special occasion during our holiday to Canadian Rockies. Initially, on day one, we had a difficult time and unpleasant experience at many fronts and were not happy. However, once the management came to know about our issues, they immediately went into action. They bent over backward to accommodate each and every issue and concern that we were experiencing. They more than made up for everything. The location is beautiful, and the facilities and restaurants are truly amazing. We may come back around Christmas time as many staff members told us that it's really superb here at that time.

A very nice hotel that had all the cozy vibes and felt luxurious. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, all the staff were kind and helpful. We enjoyed the restaurants, lounges, and pools. Definitely recommend this hotel for a great getaway.

Bathroom was a bit small and noise traveled from the hallway. that being said, gym was great, restaurants were very good, staff/shuttles were good, and location with bus stop was convenient to downtown. View speaks for itself. Elevator did take a bit to come and could not find where the stairs were.
