I had a really positive experience at Good Earth Coffeehouse, largely thanks to the genuinely great customer service. The staff were friendly, patient, and happy to chat about coffee without any hint of attitude or rushing, which always makes a café visit more enjoyable. As an Australian, I’ve often been a bit disappointed with flat whites overseas, and this visit finally helped me understand why. The team took the time to explain that a Canadian flat white isn’t actually the same drink as what Australians know and expect. That lightbulb moment was worth the visit alone. Once I tried a Caffè Misto, everything clicked — it’s much closer to an Australian flat white in texture, balance, and milk-to-coffee ratio. The coffee itself was well made, smooth, and comforting, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming — a great place to warm up, sit for a while, and enjoy Banff at a slower pace. I really appreciated the staff taking the time to educate rather than just serve, and it made the whole experience feel more authentic and thoughtful. If you’re Aussie (or just particular about your coffee), ask questions — the team here knows their stuff and is happy to help you find what you’re actually craving.
