Service was terrible but food was great! Pizza's excellent! Maybe they could offer a few different dishes like a pasta or two or some fish or meat - the menu is very limited but what we ordered was yum!
Banff Springs best kept secret. Burrata salad is a must and the pizza crust is absolutely the best.
The gluten free pizza crust is awful. The worst I’ve ever had. You’re better off ordering Pizza 73.
Food was delicious! Servers were welcoming however didn't provide high level service expected at Banff Springs Hotel. Service was inefficient with two servers constantly leaving restaurant to run food and drinks from kitchen and bar located in other area of hotel. Food is served as it's made so very possible for your party to be eating at different times if not sharing food. No extra service processes to welcome kids i.e. colouring while waiting for food or food options which makes dinning with children under 7 years old a bit more effort if not prepared. Recommended to check online menu prior to making reservation to ensure limited menu has food you can eat if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Nearest women's bathroom has multiple stairs with no accessibility for those with mobility aide or change table.
***this is now a pizza joint!***
All they have is pizzas & limited apps. Very disappointed - even more so by the worst attempt at a caprese salad I’ve ever tasted. Way too salty.
Half way Hubby & I looked at each other and said in unison, “Are we getting food on the way back to the hotel?” Yes. Absolutely.
Basically, if you’re not staying at the Fairmont, don’t bother fighting for parking.
It had changed from a wine bar to a pizza restaurant. The wine selection was limited, which was disappointing. The food was also disappointing, with no Iberian ham or cheese. It was disappointing that the calm atmosphere was gone and it became noisy.
I’ve always come here as a local resident For their cheese, wine and more recently tapas, including the simple paella.
I am so sad that they have changed this to nothing more than a pizza bar. Especially given, they have an Italian restaurant and a bar that also serves Italian style food.
It was such a refreshing change to get tapas along with the selection of cheeses and charcuterie.
The setting is delightful, the service excellent, and the food delicious! We will be back!
Service was impeccable as usual. Dana is exceptional and reason we come. Super sad they changed the menu from a bespoke castle experience to pizza and wine. The regular pizza was good however the gluten free crust was not. We miss the charcuterie! Even a couple other food options would be appreciated. We likely won't be back if the menu stays the same. Which is sad because it's been our favourite for some time. We saw two other couples come in, look at the menu and leave as well.
Dana is such an amazing server, the attention to detail is unbelievable. Hard to beat the view as well.
Big thank you to the chef for the amazing cheese and meat pairings!

Wonderful charcuterie setting and options. Enjoyed two different wines by the glass and wife enjoyed a Japanese style beer in Canada. Delicious! Dana our server was also excellent. Made suggestions and very clear about all the items on the charcuterie board, which was very helpful with so many options. Great place for a quiet meal and wine in a busy historic hotel. Highly recommend.
Comfortable and cozy ambience, tasty food and pleasant service. But in such a winebar I would expect much more local wines. Please improve the winelist and let the guests discover the wide range of great Canadian wines.
Really lovely ambient restaurant. Chefs cheese & charcuterie board was delicious. Service was excellent.
Everything about this evening was exquisite. Dana was attentive and knowledgeable and helped us through the menu as well as the extensive wine list. Every morsel was superb and we left with full stomachs and very satisfied. Would recommend to everyone
Had high hopes, but overall disappointing experience. We ordered the 8 meat/8 cheese thinking it would be good for 4 people. It was extremely small and we watched another couple order a smaller plate and get more food. The waitress didn't even know what she was bringing to the table and had to read from a paper what each item was. We left to go get more food at another restaurant.
