Favorite meal in Banff!
Reserved via OpenTable and had the best seat in the house, a great table upstairs overlooking downtown. Gabby took excellent care of us. The Agnolotti was unlike any dish if we’ve ever had. Wow, incredible! The pesto pasta dish also blew us away! Perfection!

Let me tell you something!!! This place is ethereal ! I’ve never been to Italy but this is what I imagine it would taste like. I went here last year on my birthday and to this day I still talk about how amazing everything was - especially their agnolotti pasta like imagine Cactus Club’s butternut squash ravioli but 10x better. The atmosphere was truly warming but make sure you book a reservation beforehand because they are always booked, and for a good reason too! If you’re ever visiting Banff, make sure you stop by here!

Very good restaurant, very friendly staff, incredible meal, sublime dessert, perhaps a little noisy when there are groups. I will go back.

It’s hard to put into words a dinning experience so overwhelmingly delightful.
From the start we had excellent service and knowledgeable suggestions. We ordered three appetizers that were each unique and rich in flavour. We shared three main courses that defied logic in their execution and flavour. The desserts were equally delicious and the cocktails we had exceeded expectation. Not a detail was missed and the whole experience was nothing short of divine. Thank you.

We had a great time and meal at Lupo. We ordered the rigatoni alla vodka and added buratta, potato crusted cod (AMAZING!), and the special of the night which was a wagyu strip loin with cappelletti, and tiramisu. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was cozy. Service was very friendly and welcoming.
If we return, we would love to try the agnolotti and uncle morty pizza.

If you are Lucky enough to get , as the GM said “best table in the house”, which is actually the attic with no atmosphere at all and luster lacking furniture then my friend, you have been suckered! Mediocre salty pasta. The only redeeming part of this whole experience was the wine, which was excellent and cheap to boot… thank god for the sommelier who saved the day and our experience at this middle of the row restaurant.

Restaurantji Recommends
My wife and I had an incredible time at LUPO!
Awesome food, friendly and accommodating staff and fun atmosphere. Just posh enough to feel like it was a big treat, but without the pretension of fancy restaurants that makes me feel uncomfortable.
I had the Agnolotti and my wife had the Seafood Linguine. Both meals were spectacular, came quickly and filled us up. I definitely felt the food was worth the price.
I can't speak to the parking as we walked the few blocks from our hotel, but I have a chronic knee injury and am always grateful for places like LUPO that are accessible. The restaurant is on the upper level but they have an elevator!! This was very helpful.
I recommend LUPO to anyone who loves good satisfying food, but be ready to spend a little more. I'll say again though -- the quality of the food is well worth the cost! Go for it and treat yourself!
Vegetarian options: I am a vegetarian and had no trouble finding lots of options for me. Not sure about vegans, but I was spoiled for choice as a lactose-ovo vegetarian (eats dairy & eggs)
Wheelchair accessibility: Although the restaurant can be a little crowded with tables and people, there is elevator access. I will say, though I used the elevator due to my knee injury, I was on my feet walking through the restaurant so cannot speak to how a wheelchair would fit or navigate the spaces in-between the tables etc.

The food was delicious, my steak melted in my mouth. The staff were friendly and the table we had was really nice. Semi-private and comfortable. I recommend this as a special dinner location.

Andrew was an amazing server at LUPO! The food was fantastic and the entire experience made us feel like we were in Italy. The osso bucco bone marrow was a highlight and we had pizza, saffron radiatorre pasta with Nduja butter. Focaccia was amazing and same with the 24 month aged prosciutto. I asked for more Parmesan because in Italy our chef instructor said you can never get enough of Parmesan!!

The italian atmosphere is definitely there. Excellent service and nice location.
Oven on wood pizza is pretty good but not perfect or exactly italian imo.
The pizza dough is sour.
Doppio espresso buono!
Gelato a bit more a regular ice cream but tasty for sure.
The dark local craft beer was very good.
Summed up I will definitely advise!
