Thank you to the manager on staff that was able to accommodate our window seating. We had a wonderful time. I always look forward to the prime rib and the scalloped potatoes. The candied salmon was delightful.

Everything was good however we waited for so long for the food, it took an hour before the food was served. We were so hungry so we ate the food so fast which is not good for body.

The food was outstanding!!! After reading other reviews I expected a lot...... it did not disappoint! My server Daniel was beyond superb! He literally treated me like royalty. Amazing!!
The vermillon was a very good experience for us, we ordered the steak au poivre which was perfectly cooked and they even offered some sauce for the steak which was not supposed to be included and an extra garlic mayo. The waiter was very friendly and gave us great recommendations. I definitely recommend.

We had a terrible experience at the Vermillion Room. Our reservations were for 5:30 right when they opened. There were only a couple of people in there at this time. The menu had very few “French items” on the menu. I was excited to go to a restaurant with French cuisine. The drinks were good and the only thing French that I saw on the menu was French Onion soup which was good as an appetizer. We decided to get the Prime rib which isn’t French, but was something I knew I would enjoy. The waiter brought out a New York strip and we told him that we didn’t order that. No worries, I have been a waitress before and mistakes happen. He eventually brought out the Prime rib which after tasting it, we realized it wasn’t cooked and not even hot. The potatoes and asparagus were also cold. We spoke with the manager and he refunded our money and offered free dessert, but we were just ready to leave. I had cramps and diarrhea during the night. What a disappointment for our first night in Banff.
