The buffet here is good but can be better. The service can be improved to take into consideration the need to cater to all and sundry irrespective of their ages or creeds.

Very disappointed by our evening visit here. The food wasn't particularly good. The choice of starters was the best bit, the mains were very lacking (two of the options were quite dried out quesodillas and the other a fairly oily porc mince dish) and desserts quite dry. It felt very expensive at $45 per person. We also we went because of the view, but there were so many lights on in the dining room you couldn't really see out of the window to enjoy the view in the evening. Overall wouldn't recommend to visit. The bistro on site is a much better option.

Great breakfast buffet and some of the best restaurant views in Banff. The buffet had lots of selection and even gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. We wished there was toast, but there were other pastries and French toast. Unfortunately, the service was not great. The servers paid little attention and it took a long time to get coffee.

Went for dinner here last Saturday night. We try to make a point of trying somewhere new to eat each time we go to Banff. This place did not disappoint! A stunning restaurant with amazing views. Polite, attentive staff, and the food was amazing. Good value , especially for Banff. This may be a place we visit more than once!!

We had the buffet for $44/ person today. The view was stunning but the feel was like a university cafetière and the buffet was average, little variety, very boring, high carb options rice and potatoes, just one hot vegetable medley, and one meat dish only, pork chops of a low quality and cold! We were lucky to have salt and pepper on the table..the coffee was weak and the desserts were finished well before the buffet closed and not refilled when we asked. Avoid it for the food. Definitely over priced.

We had not been to Vistas for over ten years. We fancied a trip to Banff and remembered good food we had eaten at a conference. The views of the mountains are phenomenal. The restaurant has floor to ceiling glass walls on three sides, enhancing the experience. Food is high quality, covers a range of tastes and is fresh. Helpful staff and nice atmosphere.
